FB RECRUITING: Tidbit on 3-star running back Treshaun Ward

Just wanted to drop something by really quick on 3-star running back Treshaun Ward. The one time Louisville target ended up committing to Maryland back in September and just yesterday, Ward announced that he had decided to open up his recruitment. I reached out to Ward following his decommitment and the Tampa, FL prospect said that he would definitely consider Louisville as a potential destination if Brohm decided to come here. I'm not sure if Louisville would decide to take another running back with Aidan Robbins already committed but he would definitely be one to watch.

Update on 20 Players Requesting Transfer Paperwork

Today I spoke to the person who last week told me he/she had handed out 20 sets of transfer paperwork to football players this semester. My contact today told me he/she has since spoken to eight individuals to follow up and all eight stated they no longer wish to pursue a transfer.

So the tide has apparently been stemmed. Good news.

Everbody sing along with me !

  1. Wish that I was on ol' Rocky Top
    Down in the Tennessee hills
Ain't no smoggy smoke on Rocky Top
    Ain't no telephone bills
Once I had a girl on Rocky Top
    Half bear, other half cat
Wild as a mink, but sweet as soda pop
    I still dream about that
    Rocky Top, you'll always be
    Home sweet home to me
    Good ol' Rocky Top
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
Once two strangers climbed ol' Rocky Top
    Lookin' for a moonshine still
Strangers ain't come down from Rocky Top
    Reckon they never will
Corn won't grow at all on Rocky Top
    Dirt's too rocky by far
That's why all the folks on Rocky Top
Get their corn from a jar
    Rocky Top, you'll always be
    Home sweet home to me
    Good ol' Rocky Top
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
I've had years of cramped-up city life
Trapped like a duck in a pen
All I know is it's a pity life
    Can't be simple again
    Rocky Top, you'll always be
    Home sweet home to me
    Good ol' Rocky Top
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
    Rocky Top, Tennessee
    Rocky Top, Tennessee

Conspiracy thoughts . . . . .

Well now I gotta say that this young QB from California (class of 2020) commits to an “uncoached” team (UofL) just because he (and I paraphrase) “loves the campus and it’s right next to the Kentucky Derby”. Hmmmmmmmmm and is it just a coincidence that Jeff Brohm does not say that he’s not interested in the UofL job on the same day this young prospect commits to UofL. WOW are my thought processes working overtime or what. And to bring this around to fruition, this young man starts following Jeff Brohm on Twitter. I’m just saying that’s all . . . . . . But it is something to think about ain’t it?

Coach Jeff Brohm is all smiles as he and Athletic Director

Mike Bobinski visit with former Boilermaker quarterback, Dick DeVos and admire the Old Oaken Bucket. DeVos, the Billionaire President of Amway and his family own the Orlando Magic and have a minority stake in the Chicago Cubs. He spoke to Brohm’s team and presented a substantial donation to the Purdue football fund. DeVos was backup to former star quarterback Jim Everett, an NFL first round draft pick in 1986.
