ICYMI: No SEC teams in title game again

The SEC has quality of team depth the other leagues don't have. The full schedule is tough even if it's not as front-ended as it's been in the past.

But, I think the portal and NIL might be preventing them from stockpiling player depth and that holds them back a little on developing but it also pushes talent to spread.
ND, OSU and Michigan may have the most NIL to spend from what i've read lately. seems to be working for them. i think big 10 schools can now easily say you can go to the sec if you like for the competition and depth, but if you want to play for a title, come here instead. if an sec doesn;t win it next year again, i think you'll start to see it's fall and players move away to into easier title paths. maybe not, but ocne they fail 3x in a row, it's a good recruiting ploy.

"Dirt Bowl" uniforms:

You must have missed it during the game but the announcers did mention the uniforms during the game. They had a whole segment about them and they told the story of how Peyton got the team together this past year and told them the history of the dirt bowl. Also Edward’s in the post game mentioned them as well.
^^^^ YESSIR^^^^ was going to say the same, they did a quick mention then came back to go longer. compared it to rucker park, talked about how it runs into multiple months. down at shawnee park.

Jim Rose - Hazard

IIRC Jerome Perry was injured prior to 1970-1 season and missed the entire year. He was a starter on the 1969-70 team.

The OT loss was to Villanova.
It’s hell to get old. I didn’t remember squat about Nova til you posted this. 🤣

Everybody but UCLA had to vacate IIRC for some players having agents.
McDaniels at WKU
I believe it was Porter(?) at Nova
Don’t remember at Kansas.

There's no doubt. I don't know how these dudes do it. When you cold, everything you do is slower. Everything hurts more. You lose your will faster and your brain is constantly telling you to find warmth.

I know some people will disagree, but if that game would have been played in warm weather, the Ravens would have won going away. That's why the Detroit Lions are the true chokers, playing at home in a dome and getting handled rather easily.

I have never been in KC, but I have been in Buffalo (actually Niagara) in January. It was around 15 degrees and as I was walking between two buildings, the 20mph wind went through me like a knife. The flying snow was blinding and it was the coldest I have ever experienced. I am not alibiing for LJ or Andrews; just expressing my own thoughts about how difficult it is to preform in conditions where the weather is that much of a factor.
