I tend to agree with you although I think he loses focus because he gets too hyped up on winning. I think if games were played to 50 points without a clock, he would win almost every game. He hasn't learned to value possessions. There are only so many opportunities you are given in a game, especially if your defense doesn't get turnovers or 3 and outs. Lamar is like ok, I'll do it the next possession until there's no next possession and the game is over. Ravens are so much better when they get that early lead and their defense does the job. Thats why that early INT stopped their momentum and gave it to the Bills. With all the weapons the Ravens have, they can't afford quick 3's and out and there seem to be too many of those. We all know that Lamar is the best player on the field I think he just needs to learn to manage his emotions and possessions better. I think his postgame comments confirm that he gets too emotional although we don't always see it.
I agree with this but would like to add that the past three losses in the playoffs were to the Bills twice and the Chiefs. Not exactly upset losses there.
The only upset loss was to Tennessee and Derrick Henry ironically. I think too much is made of Lamar's losses in the playoffs over other top level QB's. It's not like he's been choking the wins away. The Ravens have lost to some excellent teams and as we know, Lamar can't win the game all by himself.
Take Sundays loss to the Bills. Yes, he had those two turnovers but he had the Ravens poised to tie the game with that 88 yard drive at the end, but like usual, something happens out of his control that leads to defeat. Mark Andrews, of all players, dropped the 2 point try.
There was a couple other drop passes that were as consequential as Lamar's turnovers.
We all know the AFC is being dominated by the Chiefs and the Bills always have the advantage at home in the dead of winter. If the Ravens were in the NFC, Lamar would probably already played in the Super Bowl.
