Comfortable wins...

I think with the lack of a bench, the 7 guys that play simply let up after getting big leads. It may not be on purpose, but your intensity at harassing the ball and making hard cuts on offense, naturally diminish when you look at the scoreboard and you're up by 25 with 10 minutes to go. The starters are averaging 30+ minutes a game.

This is the biggest issue Kelsey has to figure out and when Waterman gets back, that will help some. Losing Pryor and Johnson may end up being the difference between making the sweet 16 and making the final 4.

Who would have thought that back in November?
I might buy that except that Rooths played only 15 mins, Traore 16 mins and Frank almost 4 mins. Now the one thing we probably know is that Chucky can't sit for any length of time. Yes, getting Waterman should help but whose minutes does he get? It won't be Chucky's or Reyne's but most likely Scott's, who I wish actually played more. I think we need to stop harping about Pryor and Johnson being out. Its almost like we are using that excuse and putting it in our pocket should something go south. I am fully invested in this team with the players we have and not the "what ifs"

LOUISVILLE VS WAKE FOREST GAME THREAD- 7PM ACCN

It's really better for the guys to have that break in focus physically and mentally when you're up 30. Save the energy because they're playing a lot of minutes.

It wasn't on purpose but it's a natural thing to let up winning by 30 halfway through the 2nd half. These dudes play hard on both defense and offense. It's unreal when you really think about it.
I agree a let up with that type of lead is not unexpected but to go 0 for 10 or 11 on shots a the end was painful to watch. It is, however, a great coachable moment. GO CARDS!!

I don't think the game was in doubt but the end of the game was not comfortable. We need to maintain the same amount of defense and intensity from beginning to end. Can't let teams think they have a chance.
Agree, had we only had a 16 point lead instead of a 29 point lead that finish would've really been uncomfortable..

Tickled to death with the win, just wish we would've finished it off better.. The last 10 minutes were not fun for the crowd in the YUM, they were wanting something to cheer about..
