Shriner's Showdown

Looking at the roster…CDM has several options in the INF. If someone isn’t getting it done defensively or offensively - he has options. He should also have plenty of options offensively to go against lefty and righty pitchers.
Oh yeah, lots of options all over. There are 3-4 guys who will likely be cemented in the batting rotation and those other 5-6 will be whoever is producing. The outfield is 2 deep if we throw the Freshmen in.
Crain is an outstanding Freshman center fielder who likely will be in the mix next season. Lippe will get his swings, but he may have to take his chance when he gets it and run with it. He's also outstanding running balls down out there.
Shiver is probably the next guy up at either 2nd or short, Baycot at 3rd and Early at 1st.

Tagger Tyson looks to be Klein's replacement at catcher, with Klein possibly sliding into the dh role on his days off.

That's it. I'm probably not gonna be right on all these things, but I feel comfortable with the 2 deep.
Let's play ball!!

Elli Strecker you gotta like her

Elli Strecker is one of the top volleyball players in the class of 2026. She is from Zionsville, Indiana and committed to Louisville when DBK was the Head Coach. She reconfirmed her commitment to Louisville volleyball saying that Louisville is her dream school. She is 6’3” tall and is a strong blocker on defense. Love this girl and she is not even here yet.

Cards not ranked

Tough schedule early in the season but no wins against those teams. Cards have beaten everyone they should beat except GT, and that happens in a conference game on the road. What's the Cardinals' best win? WVU? This is why they aren't ranked.

I will say to the OP's credit the Cards have looked very, VERY good in many wins and I hate to say it but my hopeful expectations are now getting to the second weekend for the Sweet Sixteen.
Well, when we were ranked for those two weeks, the best win was and still is the best win now and that was not WVU. It's Clemson.

The voters waited as long as they could but the 10 game winning streak left them little choice. But when the Cards lost to GT, they wasted no time dropping the Cards from 22 to around 34.

Most AP voters are still not convinced Louisville is for real and they find reasons to exclude the Cards from their Top 25.
