Man, Lamar once again just can't get a break in these playoff games. The INT didn't hurt because Buffalo punted, but his fumble after the bad snap is just typical of the shit that seems to happen in the playoffs.

If Buffalo scores at the end of the half, they have a chance to go up 28-10 because they get the second half kick. That basically takes Henry out of the game and makes it next to impossible.

Henry is basically out of the game already. It must be the frigit cold because Buffalo just has no issues with the weather. This game is where it's at due to the fumble by Lamar on the bad snap. They were in position to go up at least 10 to 7 when that happened.

Not only was it a fumble but it was perfectly picked up and ran 50 yards. There's been two dropped passes by the Ravens, one that would have been a big play.

Nevertheless, it's the same thing each playoff season. The Ravens simply don't perform at the level they do in the regular season and they just can't get the breaks the other team does.

Sooner or later it will eventually line up perfectly for Lamar in the playoffs, because he's just so damn good, and he's such a determined competitor.

Buffalo went 8-0 at home. Baltimore has a chance to win. That 1st and G from the 2 yard line where they had to settle for a FG in 1st half was brutal. Hoping Lamar can get it done.

Can't blame Lamar for Andrew's fumble. See this is the shit that happens with the Ravens in the playoffs. Lamar will be blamed for again not being able to win the big playoff game.

It's such a shame because Lamar works hard and is dedicated, yet he can't find enough good luck in the playoffs.

You have to be kidding me? Andrew's again and the Ravens lose. This was not Lamar's fault. Once again, the only luck he has in the playoffs is bad luck.

Andrews also had a drop before Lamar’s fumble. Just a brutal game for Andrews. Lamar was fine the fumble was on him but led the tying drive then Andrew’s drop an easy pass.

Andrews must feel sick about that game. He’s given them years of great service and been Lamar’s most reliable receiver. Tough loss.

The first pass of the game Henry should have caught and nobody was around him. He would have ran 50 plus for a TD. Also, if they go for the extra point both times, game is tied anyways. It stinks, but Marino was the same way. Regardless, Buffalo ain't going much further, the nfl is wanting T Swizzle at the super bowl.

I was screaming the whole game about Ravens ball carriers with one hand on the ball…and it got Andrews on his fumble.

I am just not a big fan of using terms like breaks or luck, because it usually takes away from what I think it takes away from the realities of coaching, scouting and execution. It is age old in football in playoff games, but turnovers are what get you beat and that was there in technicolor last night. Lamar turns it over in the Playoffs. I think more than anything the loss of Zay Flowers had a huge impact.

Losses to the Raiders and Browns in the regular season really hurt. Win those games and you are not on the road at Buffalo. Their mission to the SB was to win 3x, with 2 roadies @ Buffalo and the @ KC. Seemed unlikely.

The INT did hurt because it takes away an opportunity to come back down and score and put more pressure on Buffalo.

The location and the weather yesterday reminded me of the SMU loss at PSU; the combination of temperature, moisture and wind played a significant impact in both contests, yet I understand how these two (2) events followed the historical precedents, no blame intended whatsoever.

With that said, I would like to have seen the Ravens and Bills have played that contest inside covered stadium where the weather could not effect one opponent more than another.

Congratulations to the Bills, they deserve the win. Thank you Lamar, for the enjoyment that you delivered to me and so many of your fans.

Buffalo is a tough place to play in January and the Bills have plenty of experience in those conditions. That said, Ravens could not help tripping over themselves with turnovers and dropped passes. At the end of the day, it's the QB that pick the options on each play. I thought LJ played tense and made some poor decisions down the stretch. I was surprised they went away from Henry on the last drive. The drive before that they ran it for 70+ yards and got to the end zone. When they were at 2 yd line with 1st down, they had 2 negative yardage plays and settled for FG. Back to back QB sneak would have gotten them those 2 yards. It's easy to play coach in hindsight but Ravens left a few pts on the field and shot themselves in the foot for another playoff loss.

Probably not a popular take here. I love LJ,but tbs he has a tendency to lose his focus at the biggest moments. Take the sack on that bad snap and fumble. He has to be better than Allen.
All that aside he is really good when he's got laser sharp focus. He had it early, lost it, then was poised to get his team into an overtime late, save one last drop.

Weather is why it is critical that you earn homefield advantage, but that's where Baltimore is a bit hamstrung basically having to go no worse than 5-1 in the AFC Central meaning you have to sweep both the Bengals and Browns and split at worse with Pittsburgh. But I'll be blunt...going back 70 years when have you ever seen a pleasant winter day footage for a game played in Baltimore. The weather isn't any better in KC.

Lamar's just going to have to find a way to get through it; it's going to be his albatross until he does it.

Once again a playoff loss was not on him. Lamar accounted for all 88 yards with 3 minutes to go for the TD, and threw a perfect pass that was dropped on the 2 point try. The game would have most likely went to overtime.

Yes, he had two turnovers, but no successful QB in the playoffs have perfect games. No one would be saying anything about the turnovers had Lamar won the game in overtime.

Who knows why he can't seem to get over the hump in the playoffs. What I know is it's not always been due to any poor play by him. He will get to the Super Bowl eventually because he's too good and he's dedicated.

I posted this on the premium board in it's own thread, but it's worth reposting here ... (unless like a dumb@ss, it's already been posted, in which case, my bad).

Lamar - Peyton parallels:

For some reason Lamar will always have his distractors. Maybe it's because he didn't go to Oklahoma or Ohio State and instead went to Louisville? Some just never felt he was a legit QB, despite what they saw on the field.

In the NFL it's been this stubbornness to defend why Lamar was taken with the last pick of the 1st round. People need to defend their teams for passing on him. So when he loses in the playoffs they feel redeemed.

So it will take a Super Bowl appearance, then a win before all of that nonsense ends, and for some it never will. Fans love to hate.
