You may have spotted his name on the Louisville/Florida St. visitor list, but if you didn't, former Arizona State linebacker Loren Mondy is looking to transfer and holds Louisville in high regards following the visit.
I recently spoke with his dad who explained that Arizona State's situation didn't work out for Mondy after the coaching change (Herm Edwards taking over). According to Mondy, 18 scholarship players have left since the coaching change and the overall situation is a "mess".
Loren Mondy is still enrolled at Arizona State but is not playing football so he will have 3 years remaining to play 4 at his new school and is able to play immediately in 2019.
As of right now Mondy is hoping the Cardinals will be able to extend a scholarship offer to Loren, although up to this point that hasn't officially been done. Likely this is a situation we will have to let play out to find out if Louisville will have an available scholarship at the position but is worth keeping an eye on.
