Hadley

@Cody Williams @Ty Spalding I know this has been discussed some in other threads but it always just seems like speculation by people that dont really know..What is the likelihood Hadley and or Pryor will be back here next year. Apparently both these guys are eligible to comeback. It seems there's more talk about Pryor than Hadley. I know nothing is certain and things can change pretty quickly, just wondering what the current temperature is on this happening.

@ NC State will require a huge effort

;)

Actually, there are some trends that worry me. Although NC State is near the bottom of our league, let's remember that last season this program finished the regular season a pedestrian 17-14 (9-11 in ACC) with 4 straight losses and 7 out of their last 9. Then they opened with our sorry asses in the ACCT and catapulted that into an Auto-bid to the NCAAT which they rode the mo wave into the Final Four. Keats can coach. They have talent.

They've also lost 8 straight. I dislike that the most of all. No one wants to wrangle a cornered animal. I'd almost prefer to face a team who've won 8 straight. They are going to fight like hell. In addition, although they are on a skid, they still have a winning record at home (9-5).

If Chucky and Scott are out, that's going to give them hope to sneak a win. We are going to have to bring it. Best thing in this scenario is to come out as the aggressor. Put them on their heels and on the defensive. Come out and smother them immediately on defense and move the ball crisply on O. Make them use the energy to play from behind and chase us.

Traore

Do we know any players in the last 20 years that Traore remind us of?
I have to go back 30 years to Minor and Morton. He made that one move last night that was as good as I've seen from somebody 6'7 in quite a while.

And he's getting better every game. Rebounds, defends, blocks shots, leads the break. Truly impressive and I hope we can keep him around another year.

IU Mike Woodson

BREAKING: Indiana head coach Mike Woodson is contemplating stepping down and retiring, sources told

. The Hoosiers have lost 6 of their last 7, Woodson has lost the support of high-level boosters and there have been ongoing discussions today about his future, source told the Field of 68. 6'8" Forward Nana Owusu-Anane

Former Brown University forward Nana Owusu-Anane announced his list of top eight schools on Thursday, with the Cardinals making the cut. Also in the running for his commitment are Arizona State, Baylor, Grand Canyon, Kansas, Kansas State, San Diego State and SMU.

Prior to the start of the 2024-25 season, Owusu-Anane partially tore his left labrum, requiring him to have season-ending surgery. He subsequently entered the portal back in late December.

The season before, the 6-foot-8, 220-pound forward was one of the top players in the Ivy League, taking home Second Team All-Ivy honors. He averaged 14.7 points, a team-best 8.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game, while also shooting 46.8 percent from the field and 31.0 percent on three-point attempts.

Over the course of his three years as a Brown Bear, the Burlington, Ontario native has totaled 835 points, 547 rebounds, 138 assists, 90 steals and 68 blocks over 77 games. He was named a captain for both the 2022-23 season and last season.

BASKETBALL Louisville @ Boston College

Like Georgia Tech (who was 9-12 before our game Saturday), BC is yet another team hovering on the dark side of .500 for the season at 10-11. Even more important for BC is that their conference record, 2-8, is tied for 16th. They are a half game behind Virginia (3-8) for the last spot in the ACC tournament field, and desperately need a win against us this Wednesday.

Tech’s win on Saturday boosted their conference record to 4-7 off that bubble and into a 4-way tie for 11th.

2025 Nate Ament

More on Nate Ament’s recruitment from
@TiptonEdits
, “I think that Louisville is firmly in the mix and they really do have a legitimate shot here. A lot of people in Nate Ament’s camp are very high on Louisville and wish for him to go to Louisville. I’m told that Nate will ultimately make his own decision on where he wants to play college basketball, but those closest to him really like what Pat Kelsey and his staff have been able to do this season.”
