NCAAT Discussion Thread

The one UConn defensive rebound on one of the UF missed FTs, that was tapped out to UF, was clearly “an over the back foul” that was not called; which was one of several late calls that explains Hurley’s reaction. Not sure it would have changed the outcome, but it was a significant no call that resulted in a loss of possession. The game was so physical that I am not sure anyone could keep up with the action, but there were 3 other calls that appeared to benefit Florida at UConn’s expense.

Got to give UF credit for hitting some huge shots when it counted.

Louisville vs TCU

This is a game I don’t think we can win but there is always hope. I don’t see us stopping the 6’7” Sedona Prince I just see us fouling a lot trying to stop her. Offensively it would be best for a fast paced offense before their defense sets up. We have to guard the 3 point line because HVL and the other guard can really do some damage.
I would rather let them have the 2 instead of the 3. I posted on another thread they really only have 3 scorers so if we can shut down one of them we shut down a third of their offense.

VaTech #3 What da hell 1 camera for this game?

This has been a very sub-par weekend for the Cards. Reminds me of the last two seasons. Multiple runners left on base in the first two innings. Poor base running costs the team a run. Unfortunately a terrible outing for Peter. George is very pedestrian defensively at catcher. He can’t block anything.
Here is what grinds my gears. I am sure WE could all tell Peter had just lost it. Hit two guys in a row and then walks a guy. #1 It took forever for Williams to go out and talk to Peter. Why? #2 Why does it take 30 damn minutes to get a guy warm to replace Peter? That is nothing unusual as that is out MO - leave pitchers in Too dang long. Geez, Peter was a dead man walking and was just left out there. Blows my mind.
Look no disrespect but not very many coaches want to pull their starters in the 2nd inning. Plus we have already used 9 pitchers in this series. You tend to give your starter a little more leeway. Besides since it is early you have to have confidence in our offense to make some kind of comeback. We scored 12 runs yesterday. I do have a concern with Baker behind the plate though.
