This is a game I don’t think we can win but there is always hope. I don’t see us stopping the 6’7” Sedona Prince I just see us fouling a lot trying to stop her. Offensively it would be best for a fast paced offense before their defense sets up. We have to guard the 3 point line because HVL and the other guard can really do some damage.
I would rather let them have the 2 instead of the 3. I posted on another thread they really only have 3 scorers so if we can shut down one of them we shut down a third of their offense.

Agreed. Force HVL to her right 100% and try to let her over-penetrate. Put the pressure in that other shooter. Try keep Prince from catching the ball while parked in the paint. See how simple all that is?? 🤪🤪

Jayda with 15 of our 17 points. Going to have to have much more help than that to stay in this one.

We aren’t even going down low you would think we would have been prepared to do that. We are just jacking crap up without a chance of it going in.

Why is cochrane taking a three? drives me nuts that we constantly leave the wings wide open,
Exactly. She is not playing within herself. Suddenly she thinks she is Kevin Durant. Our defense is so hot and cold. You get some turnovers but they are leaving shooters WIDE open and TCU is draining their shots. The offense is just bad. Again, ball movement is poor and shot selection is poor.

Expecting its because she posts up and nobody will pass her the ball. That shot was a little frustration coming out in her play.

Well I was at least hoping for a close game but it is not going to happen. Nice looking arena TCU has but it has the capacity of a high school gym.

The offense is just bad. I hope Taj’s facial expressions don’t reflect what is going on in her head. Otherwise, she often looks like she is just not happy or that she doesn’t carenwhat is being said to her. This game is quickly getting out of control.

True. They fill up their arena and are so excited. That 8K is what we pretty much average.

Sedona Prince is just the type of big center that this Louisville team needed to be elite. Wonder if we will ever get Walz what he needs here to win a national championship?

Brick brick brick even from curry now. This is idiotic. Why are there two players on the point leaving somebody on the wing wide open. Walz just can't play russell.

9 threes in 1st half is ridiculous, even considering they were wide open. Totally understand Jeff’s trapping defense, but never expected that sort of shooting exhibition.

Unfortunately our ladies seem intimidated and unwilling to take the unchallenged open perimeter shots.

Doesn't look like they even practice defense.

We were playing the full court trapping defense in that first half. It worked great for about 6 minutes, but TCU ahredded it to pieces the end of the first quarter and the entire second.

Here in the third, we are playing full court man to man, but not trapping. Better results so far.

Credit to Van Lith for a lot of that shredding. She’s evolved as a point guard. Still doesn’t defend very well, but she is much more under control than when she was at UofL.

I have no idea what he was thinking this offseason. In an ERA of older players dominating they go young. They added a bunch of freshman most never saw the floor. They clearly need to be developed. Who knows how many transfer. The only way that makes any sense is they all stay.

Probably spent most of the NIL money on the ones who do play: Roberts, Berry, Arenas, and Randolph, and the rest were simply practice players added at minimal or zero NIL cost.

It’s funny how they don’t mention Sedona Prince’s physical abuse problems she has committed with her girlfriend.

Turned out to be a big nothing burger. Both women claimed assault charges against the other at first and then both refused to press charges…..

A lot of the FR have played. He does need a high-level, athletic power forward. And, another 3-4 who is athletic and can shoot. The front court is not very athletic. Elif and Isla have their good points; but, both are young and have their shortcomings. We just do not have any elite players.
