A couple of weeks ago . . . . .

I posted, that as a Democrat, I was going to vote for Angela Leet the republican candidate and I did just that. Yes she lost and I don’t think, in the big picture, it makes a lot of difference on a local basis. But, as a UofL fan FIRST, I believe you can just get ready for a major push by our mayor for an NBA franchise. Just a warning for all of my fellow UofL FIRST fans to just get ready for that major push. I believe that that push will prove that Mayor Fisher simply doesn’t care about UofL in any way, shape or fashion. Just fair warning folks. We get no respect from local government or the local media and that includes WDRB and the curious urinal. If it can be negative news then it will be reported for sure on those two media outlets. And you can bet that the NBA push will come from those two as well. If this doesn’t make any difference to you the just ignore this post, but I don’t think most of you will. And, by the way, the NBA push will be a bipartisan effort and you can bet the house on that. You see I just happen to believe that UofL with it’s nearly 7,000 employees has a huge economic impact and I fear that has been forgotten by those folks. But I’ve said my piece and will let sleeping dogs lie . . . For now.

Louisville WBB gets underway tonight

The University of Louisville women's basketball team starts the 2018-19 season tonight in Bowling Green, facing the Western Kentucky Hilltoppers. Season opener for the "Tops" too. Game time is 8 p.m. Louisville time. Five questions:

1) Who gets the start and crunch time minutes in Myisha's old spot?

2) Will Dana Evans, who came on strong last year at the end, see a significantly larger role on this squad.

3) What will a WKU squad that has a new head coach and 40 of their 75 points a game from last missing look like?

4) How many will "Nite-Nite" score in the season-opener?

5) Where's a good place to eat in Bowling Green these days? A lot has changed down there since my co-ed days in the 80's. Paulie and I making the trip tonight.

Go vote today. I don't like to promote other sites on here, so, I'll just say that Paulie put up a nice article on his site this morning. Go CARDS!

2018 Quarterback Recruiting News & CFB Recruiting Rankings 2019

All Recruits Twitters will finish being linked as we move toward our 2019 Top 300 Recruit Rankings end of regular season edition. Top 40 QB Recruits can be found on our 2019 CFB Today Top QB recruits page or at the end of our "explanation" & scouting page below.

Top 2019 QB Recruits

Grant Gunnell of St.Pius X HS (TX) was able to throw for 3632 yards (403.6YPG) and 43 touchdowns, while only throwing 5 interceptions all season long. He has thrown for 185 touchdowns in his historic career in Texas HS football and the2019 Arizona Wildcat commit now holds the Texas all-time passing record for TD passes thrown.

Alabama Football Commit Taulia Tagovailoa

Taulia Tagovailoa of Thompson HS (AL) was able to throw for 3026 yards and 29 touchdowns through 9 games thus far, while only throwing 5 interceptions for the season. While he is the younger brother of Tua Tagovailoa, he brings a different dynamic to a offense with his amazing escapability in the pocket when under duress. Taulia is committed to Alabama and we really like the progression he has showed since last season, as does LSU.

TCU QB Commit

Max Duggan of Lewis Central HS (IA) was injured last season after only a few games and came back this season with one of the quickest releases I have seen in his class. Gary Patterson has a outstanding dual-threat QB coming in this young man.

Tanner Rickle of Findlay HS (OH) was able to throw for 1,755 yards and amassed 22 touchdowns (5 games), as arguably one of the best dual-threat QB recruits to ever come out of that region of the United States. Many CFB programs are waiting to see how his recruiting process plays out, as FCS coaches around the nation highly covet this 2019 QB Recruit. Tanner Rickle will be competing in Dallas,Texas as a Scout Trout All-American, after suffering a season ending injury.

Brenden Taylor of Broome HS (SC) shows some of the most brilliant athletics as a 2019 ATH recruit and as a 2019 QB Recruit. When you flip on Brenden's highlight's, you will see what looks like the next Johnny Football, until you see him at FS or as a elite WR recruit. Taylor has the ability to change a football teams offensive dynamics immediately at the next level, as his versatility on the gridiron is pure bliss to CFB recruiters. Jordon Travis’s exit interview

By CardinalSportsZone. He said over and over again he wasn’t happy here. When asked why he came he said the coaches made him feel at home. Then the question was posed was it different when you arrived. Answer Yes. The question about the QB coach. He said was not what he expected it to be. That was telling and really answered what I already suspected. His answers were vague but the points were made. When asked about the fans he said he really appreciated the fan support and that the team does too. Said the fans our the best.

Discusses Bobby’s system and not much more. But the question of why he was leaving was asked 3x in three different ways but he kept responding I’m just not happy and it wasn’t what I expected

Beating a dead horse: Coaching Options

I hate to say it but Zipp is right about the money. If Bobby and his staff makes it back to Louisville then we know we are stuck. Honestly if the boosters will fork up the money to fire him we might be able to get a young gun from a group of 5 school. If we could afford Brohm we would have already gotten rid of Bobby.

That said you gotta fire him and grab 1 of a few guys.
Satterfield (App St)
Lunsford (GA Southern)
HC of North Texas

I wish some leaders would emerge

and get the guys together and say, until this season ends with the UK game, no one is quitting, no one is announcing they are leaving. Quit thinking about yourself and put the team first, at least until the season is over.

I think one of the problems this year is that there does not seem to be any leadership at all on this team.
