I hope the entire freshman class sans Travis stays. They showed heart and maturity beyond their years.

The Pass brothers, I’d like to see sent packing. I used to be a big supporter of Jawon, but his lack of leadership and bad attitude are not worth his mediocre at best talent. Khane is the worst safety I have ever seen on a football field. Who gets a 15 yard head start on a receiver on a third and long and then sprints forward to leave him streaking down the field for an easy TD? That made it 42-10 and the route was on even worse.

I also think Russ Yeast should move to offense or transfer. He just does not have the lateral quickness to play corner at the power 5 level. And the fact that he considered quitting on the team is pretty telling.

I want Anthony Johnson to stay. He’s probably the most important/talented player on the defense other than keeping what few mediocre defensive tackles we have (Boykin and Goldwire).

I also want Tresean Smith to stay. The guy plays hard and is one of our best tacklers. He also has quite a bit of talent. I could also see him being a leader on this team going forward as he was big on recruiting his class after he came aboard.

Dorian Etheridge plays hard as well and I think he has enough talent to play at this level. We need him to step up and be a leader.

If we start to hear about some of the highlighted good players with good attitudes leaving in the next few months then we will be in trouble for next season. If we hear that the weeds being uprooted then maybe the culture can change quickly.

Here’s hoping we get a new coach soon and some changes are made.

I watched a good portion of Minnesota @ Wisconsin yesterday. The Gophers started 11 freshman and currently have 55 freshman on their roster. They also went 6-6 on the season after starting 2-4.

I want Brohm as our next coach. But, if we can’t get that done maybe we continue to look at the Big 10 for our next guy.

Just heard he has been reached out to behind the scenes by some Purdue people.

Tight end Jordan Davis and running backs Dae Williams, Malik Staples and Javian Hawkins have all been disciplined for an unspecified violation of team rules.
Williams was already out with a wrist injury. Hawkins, a freshman, is redshirting this season. Staples has not played all season.

A name that came up today in a discussion I had with a booster; and it really made a lot of sense to me, was Bill Clark. Current HC at a UAB.
If UL misses on Brohm, Clark could be a very good backup plan. He has 4 years of HC experience starting with Jacksonville State for 1 year, and the past 3 at UAB. He has a winning overall record of 34-17 with a bowl game, (although they lost it), last year in just his 2nd year at UAB. And this year, UAB is 9-2; 7-0 in CUSA West clinching that division and will play for the CUSA title against FIU. And you have to figure that they WILL play in a bowl game this season.

So, if Brohm does not come to UL, Clark could be a VERY good target for Tyra.

(Oh, and just a little more info; he has deep, deep recruiting ties in talent RICH Alabama, which could be huge in getting top players out of that state; which again, under Schnellenberger was pretty fertile for UL. Especially those players who felt 'looked over' by Bama. And UL can recruit well against Auburn.)

This guy just SUCKS...I hope he NEVER gets another DC job again, ever. He has done nothing in his career as a DC, and just makes every D he has worse and worse with each game. Period.

I have never seen a team that I dislike more than this bunch of miscreations. They have had quit in them the entire year. I hope the new coach kicks about half their lazy, no good butts to the curb.

on the ESPN scroll that UCONN set an NCAA FBS record for points and yards allowed in a season. Surely we cannot be far behind. We are still playing, where is Kelley Dickey on this one?

This team will lose 4-6 games because of a under performing VJ King. For a scorer to miss a point blank shot is unacceptable without drawing a foul. The last series in regulation is indicative of what's missing on this team. Focus.No less than 2 or three players had chances to win in the closing seconds of the game. Nobody could finish. As a junior who was a scorer, he is non-existent when we need him. I know the kids are playing hard, but the juniors and seniors have to carry this team. They are not.

I say game but it may be a beating

As bad as I hate it, I don’t see us winning. This team completely checked out after the FSU game, I don’t think that this group could beat any P5 team at the moment.

I don't think we will catch UCONN as worst college scoring defense. However, the 601 yards allowed to a UK team averaging just 330 YPG just might nudge us into the Bottom 5 in Total Yards Allowed department.

I started following Louisville Football in 1983. I’ve watched every game since 1987. In all of those years I have never watched a more undisciplined team. I thought the Cooper and Kragthorpe years were bad but they didn’t come close to this mess. As an alumni and former athlete it is a disgrace to what this football team has done to the Louisville Cardinals name. Most of the players on this team do not deserve to wear the jersey.

Well, everything but the punter and field goal kicker.

Yes, the coaching sucked and they instilled no discipline (Petrino getting $14M is an f’ing crime btw...I sincerely hope he continues to donate a lot through his foundation). Anyways, the athletes aren’t off the hook on this one. The lack of pride and pathetic attitudes was embarrassing to see all season. This group is in for a rude awakening. And I hope they elect so e captains that will actually uphold and instill the honor that one should have in wearing that uniform. What a joke this season!

Any coach we hire is going to come in and tell them “You can’t get any worse, so you all are going to have to earn a spot on this team” then test their will to the extreme allowed nowadays.

Good (or bad) part is, a lot of the problems I see are coming from the seniors.

University of Louisville interim head coach Lorenzo Ward announced that tight end Jordan Davis, running backs Javian Hawkins, Malik Staples and Dae Williams will be suspended for Saturday’s game versus Kentucky for a violation of team rules.

Kentucky's Derrick Baity Jr. broke out of warmups to taunt Louisville players with the "Ls Down" sign as they came onto the field. No one took the bait.
