Rather have Ohio State

A tale of 2 experiences

Growing up, if you lived in the 502 you def knew some Ohio State fans. They are the most arrogant fan base ever and I always root against them.

I moved into SEC country. Their fans are the most obnoxious, but for some reason they’re more fun and I really don’t root against their teams other than when I have reason. Like I hated Tim Tebow more than any team ever. I didn’t want Saban to win games.

We've given some Pitt fans some PTSD

I didn't put this together until perusing the Pitt rivals boards, but we've given Pitt fans a cause for serious heartburn.

-- We smoked them in football.
-- We beat them in the final four in volleyball, when they were the #1 overall seed.
-- And we just beat 'em in hoops at their house.

THERE'S A NEW FU%&ING SHERIFF IN TOWN.. L YES!!!!

Did anyone else see or hear the bias the way I heard it at halftime? When they were showing the highlights from the SEC, yhe announcers made sure to point out that the SEC was a “meat grinder” or whatever analogy he used. But when he was talking about the ACC he said that it was Duke and everyone else.
I mean he ain't wrong right now.. The $ec was 14-2 in the $ec ACC challenge..

Hard to argue otherwise right now, I don't like it, but is what it is..

Does the ACC profit from Notre Dame football

Just curious if the ACC profits anything from Notre Dame ( Independent)

Does the ACC profit from Notre Dame?

Absolutely.

It is true that Notre Dame does keep all their football playoff money.

But I'm pretty sure that ND shares in all other bowl money as part of their agreement with the ACC. With ND being part of our bowl lineup, we should get better bowls in our lineup.

All you need to know about our arrangement with Notre Dame is that the Big XII would give their left nut to have our ND deal.

I wish we had them on our schedule every year. It sucks when they aren't.

Lot of “ifs” to go all around, as you could make an argument against a lot of the teams that made it into the playoff. I am no fan of the Irish, but I have said ever since we lost to them in South Bend, “they are a very good football team”, as they really have no obvious weaknesses. Riley Leonard is as difficult to defend as any QB in the country, as his decision making ability is underestimated, those multiple audibles were most effective against UGA and PSU.

Out Of Bounds Plays

Capel called timeouts after a couple of made 3's, stereotypical coaching timeouts and better used at another time. It just gave our diabolical coach opportunity to draw up a Smith 3. Thanks to both coaches.
I like timeouts for my team after we make a basket typically. However, if you have a coach & team this proficient after timeouts, I'd limit those.

Is that a case of not knowing your foe?

Does that translate into money for the University? If so, stop playing Murray St, WKU, Austin Peay, Jax St and play the MIchigan's, Ohio St., Texas, Alabama.... If we start winning again, we can get sellouts no matter who we are playing.

It certainly does - it makes the ACC TV package more attractive, giving the ACC bargaining power when selling those TV rights. That translates into more money for each school from that source.

We do have Georgia home and home in 26-27 and Texas A&M in 28-29.

RIP Ricky Gallon

Ricky was a good player for UL and looks like he had a nice long foreign career. At 6-11 had a good shooting touch, would probably be better fit with the modern game.
I don't think I ever remember him returning for a UL game, wish we would do a better job showcasing the former players at home games. The crowd loves it and the players always seem to enjoy it.
