THERE'S A NEW FU%&ING SHERIFF IN TOWN.. L YES!!!!

This isn’t the Mack or Kenny Payne led Cardinals, this is the Coach Kelsey led University OF LOUISVILLE F@CKING CARDINALS! When the Pitt players began trash talking Hadley and their ignorant West Virginia East fans began doing the L’s down, Louisville locked in. So now if I am correct, Louisville should have three Quad one wins on their resume come tournament time. Speaking of the whole over played lame ass L’s down, it’s amazing how something started by a inbred, couch burning, underachieving fan base as spread throughout college sports.
I don't get the whole L's down reaction. Texas fans have been putting up with 'horns downs" for literally forever. It means nothing.

Kelsey and Pitino

I would say more poor judgment than poor character, but I get your point.
I think poor character as well. was telling my wife before game yesterday that while pitino may be the greatest in game coach, he was horrible mentally for the players. he constantly talked backhanded in the press about them, made snide remarks about his players, played mind games, and definitely was 100% about his ego. some players need that harsher military style presence, but many others don't. some people don;t respond to being yelled at or criticized in the press. pitino just last year used the press to blame losses on players he didn't recruit. he's an asshole. plain and simple. CPK is someone i'd rather be around. someone who finds the positive, who uplifts, who coaches and teaches but positive vibes instead of negative. as a person, CPK is someone to emulate. RP is not. there's not a single redeeming quality about RP that i'd pass along to my son. he lies, he manipulates, he cheats both in sports and in his marriage, is not a man of his word and if manners maketh man, he's not a man. he's an ffing wimp with a napoleon complex who just happens to know basketball better than most. technically, he has no banner to show from his tenure here. we saw it, but we cannot celebrate it. never liked the man, didn;t think we should have ever hired him. he ran recruits out of town. constant turnover and never got the top recruits. he got blackshear adn character, but failed on every one else. he was not a closer on the recruiting trail. he jsut happened to knwo how to take 2 thru 4 star kids and mold them. but many times his teams were very undisciplined, thru horrible outlet passes, turned the ball over ont he break and he was terrible end of half play caller.
so far CPK exceeds RP in every singel leverl as a person and a coach except for the the tiles and i say jsut give hime a few years and he will have surpassed rp and made us forget all about that ahole. soo glad he's gone and no more zipp, tj and rp talk. woohoo

We lose another

Anyone who was living in Louisville over the last 5 years would recognize the advantage of a local HS WVB player staying home to compete at UL. I do not know Simon, or anyone in their family, so my opinion and observations are not intended to sound critical about her decision to select Wisconsin.

DeBeer and Scott are both fearless in addition to be incredibly athletic and talented, but they must also possess an abundance of self confidence and courage to place themselves where they are under intense scrutiny to those they grew up arond. Not sure all women want that much attention in their lives. Let’s see how Simon’s career at Wisconsin goes while living that far up north away from family.

Does the ACC profit from Notre Dame football

Does the ACC profit from Notre Dame?

Absolutely.

It is true that Notre Dame does keep all their football playoff money.

But I'm pretty sure that ND shares in all other bowl money as part of their agreement with the ACC. With ND being part of our bowl lineup, we should get better bowls in our lineup.

All you need to know about our arrangement with Notre Dame is that the Big XII would give their left nut to have our ND deal.

I wish we had them on our schedule every year. It sucks when they aren't.
Also, there would’ve been no ACC network without ND being involved in non- football sports.

My only point that I was trying to make is that some fans think we get extra credit or recognition that ND plays us and ACC opponents but they are also smiling and giving us the middle finger by not "joining" as an actual member. They have always acted as better than anybody out there by being an independent. For those who want to say but we only lost by 7 to ND, its almost nearly as bad as UK saying they are a football powerhouse because they're SEC, SEC, SEC. They're hanging on the coattails of the Alabama's, Georgia's, LSU's and soon to be Texas and Oklahoma except those teams are actually SEC members. I hate both Ohio St and ND, but if it had to come down to it, I would pick the Buckeyes over the priviledged green and gold.

I could not help but think of the recent timing of Jimmy Carter’s passing as a way to show the contrast between Rick Pitino and President Carter.

By most observers, Jimmy Carter was a man of extraordinarily great character, but a horrible President; conversely Pitino will be remembered as one of the very best College Basketball Coaches of all time, but a man of extraordinarily poor character.

I know it is very early to make this prediction, but Pat Kelsey has an opportunity to produce a legacy of being great at his profession, while also leading the sort of humble personal life that follows the exemplary model that DennyCrum established here.

Denny showed you can do both at the same time.

Rather have Ohio State

I think ND in this new world is going to be a major player. Legit title contenders every year. ND didn’t or wasn’t aggressively cheating before NIL. You know they have a war chest of money. It is just a matter do they open the flood gates or limit it.

It is a brand, it is a football school and academically elite. They won’t churn their roster as much. Kids that go there aren’t only shooting for the NFL. They can actively recruit high school, transfers and grad transfers. They don’t play in a conference. Their schedule won’t be that tough but good enough.

It already started with media and coaches moaning about them not being in a conference. They all see it coming. Notre Dame may go on a run here.
They’re good academically. I would stop short of “elite”.

Looks like ND and Louisville don’t play until 2030, unfortunately. I think Brohm is a great coach and would like to see him and Louisville bolster the ACC against the SEC/espn.

Those were fun games between ND/UL in 2023/2024. Great gameplanning from the Louisville defense to shut ND down in short yardage situations in 2023. Great gameplanning in general from UL that game. I was happy you all pulled out the W against Washington.

I was happy Miller Moss landed at Louisville. He was a good player at USC in my opinion.

RIP Ricky Gallon

Ricky was a good player for UL and looks like he had a nice long foreign career. At 6-11 had a good shooting touch, would probably be better fit with the modern game.
I don't think I ever remember him returning for a UL game, wish we would do a better job showcasing the former players at home games. The crowd loves it and the players always seem to enjoy it.
I think you'll see PK start to mend those fences and bring those guys back. Mack tried but there were too many other sideshow going on while he was here. Pitino couldn't have cared less about alumni and everyone was to embarrassed to come back when Eeyore was here..

THERE'S A NEW FU%&ING SHERIFF IN TOWN.. L YES!!!!

When the ACC was winning big and was great top to bottom, ESPN promoted and the league had so much favor. When we were in the Big East, I remember the ACC getting propped up.

This isn’t the SEC of 2010 or even 2015. The SEC is good because of the way they performed in the non-conference. I know we hate them, but that’s a strong league this year and it isn’t bias.

In terms of financials, ESPN/Disney pay big money for FOOTBALL and basketball is just a perk to fill programming the rest of the year. They have the rights to all SEC and ACC games. The ACC and SEC both have a network with ESPN. There’s not more incentive to promote one over the other. In all honesty, ACC basketball overall would draw better ratings if our teams were winning.
