Claire Chaussee led UofL Volleyball with 14 kills last night to lead the #2 Cards to a 25-12, 26-24, 25-23 sweep of Miami in the Atlantic Coast Conference opening match Friday night in Coral Gables.

The Cardinals go to 10-1 and have not lost an ACC match in 30 contests, That is the nation's second-longest winning streak against conference opponents. The last team to beat UofL was Pitt on Oct. 23, 2020.

Louisville hit .329 as a team with six aces and nine blocks. Filling in for All-American Anna DeBeer, outside hitter Nena Mbonu had eight kills on 11 swings to hit .636 and added a pair of blocks. Amaya Tillman had seven kills and six blocks. Setter Raquel Lazaro had 36 assists, an ace and three blocks. Aiko Jones was the second leading scorer with eight kills, an ace and three blocks.

DeBeer is expected to be out 4-6 weeks with a knee injury, suffered against Stanford.
