Well, I got down on my knees, and I pretend to pray THAT UOFL TURNS THIS SHIT AROUND. Cal looks to be pretty decent. 14-10 overall with an impressive 7-3 road record. They come in on a 5 game win streak.

Cards need to look alive. Weather could be tricky Saturday and Sunday.

Well, we got some California weather today.

They score in bunches.
I'm hoping this is the weekend they give me some hope for the rest of the season.

Be there or...don't. First game @ 11am tomorrow. I'm expecting to see 2 tomorrow.

Is that an announced game time change? Or, do you just think they’ll
go for two on Sat?

I stand corrected on the 11 thing.
Still 2 o'clock
I might have been looking at girls softball 🤔

Williams just keeps calling for fastballs
Forbes' stuff is electric but all we see are fastballs.

Watching Forbes’ growth as a pitcher these last few years, yeah, he’s improved so much. Kid’s arm is a live one. He’s confident out there, too. He’s got MLB potential.

I’m not as going to ask about any news on Parker. I just saw him taking water to the home plate ump. He’s not even wearing a jersey - just a warmup jersey. Doesn’t appear he is anywhere near coming back.

EKJr with two hits. Like I say…I’ll give him props when he earns it. He tonight he has earned it.

They waited too damn long. Why? He pitched a great game. No reason to put your team in trouble. That is what happened. We meed Klein back and soon. Tyson and Baker are very suspect defensively.

9-7 Cards lead in the bottom of the 4th. With the strong breeze blowing out to left field, this might end up being a 20-18 score….

Well, I am eating my ‘Munroe’ has been pretty good defensively comment. And, COACHES, when a guy (EKJ) mis-plays 3 balls in the OF - he should be on the bench.

I posted in another thread that "we" need to determine what the baseball program's expectations are. The arms are indeed pathetic as @Thecycle27 said above. Earlier in the week I said the staff was MAC level at best now I am doubting some of these guys could pitch in the MAC. Just so damn disappointing.

Cal takes game two 14-10. Definitely needed some sinker ball pitchers for that game today, because anything waist high and up and near the plate was leaving the yard.

I don’t know they go to the portal to get Cutts and he is garbage. Then the roster of is full of freshman pitchers. They don’t know what translates at this level.

They have given up 36 runs in 3 games. Jesus Christ how is that even possible? Hitting is the hardest thing to do in sports and Louisville pitching makes it look simple.

IDK about Cutts. He started out strong and has really just completely fallen off.
Munroe has been brilliant at the plate but has, recently, made a couple of bad errors in the field. EKJ - I’ve said enuff about him (he would, at best, get a spot start in the OF if we already had a 2-0 lead in a series). Focus, ‘want’, desire, coaching? Who knows. We have witnessed this team play, and beat, very good teams. Something is off.

As we near the halfway point of the season, probably next weekend or so,I'm thinking this rubber game today looking pretty pivotal.
I was serious yesterday when I said start throwing the youngsters more and more. Let the chips fall where they may. At the very least,we will have a much more seasoned group next year.
Once again though,it looks like the offense will have to be outstanding to overcome the deficiencies with the pitching. They're fairly good, but they probably will need to be great.
Man,we really need this one today..

Why take Ty out? You have a lead and he’s pitching well. Have a short leash for sure… makes no sense.
I think just because of the lead, get the Freshman Gregor in and build on his confidence. Gregor will possibly be a big piece of the second half of the season.
