It may seem like it has been forever, but after 10 days without a game, Louisville WBB is back in action against the Boise State Broncos in Taco Bell Arena. Attempts to get the game moved to Qdoba Stadium were thwarted when they couldn't get a table.

Boise is 3-0 with wins over Cal State- Northridge, Southern Oregon and Northwest Christian (allegedly Southeast Christian couldn't get a team together in time).

The Cards opened the NCAA Tournament with a 74-47 win back in March over the Broncos in the KFC YUM! Center. Both teams return four starters from that squad. Louisville has wins over WKU and Chattanooga in their opening games.

Despite coming off of an incredibly impressive ACC title run the Cards lost tonight 1-2 to Michigan St. It was a pretty chippy match which ended in a scuffle once the match ended. The #4 seeded Cards were, in my opinion, outplayed much of the match. It appeared we had some momentum headed into the overtime but a free kick did in the Cards as they couldn’t clear the ball out of their end. One positive is this team was highly ranked all year, played in the toughest conference in the country and they are pretty young. They should be ready to comeback strong next season.

Consistent support is an issue with most programs...

I have to admit ,sadly, that UL is the worst Division 1 team in football in 2018. No team has been less competitive than we have and I would venture to say no team has trailed for more time overall than any major team .

We have one last game and it is against our biggest rival who we have handled 5 of the last 6 years . our best chance at a win vs Kentucky is to

1 .install TuTu Atwell at starting QB and let him do what he does,which is throw better than anyone we have ,roll. Out and throw on the run ,and have the ability to break long plays.

2Use a QB option and pitch play to Hall and maybe break a long play , maybe mix in Cunningham and use a running game with Hall and Wilson to run. pick up first downs and.

3 Razzle Dazzle , mix in a fake punt, reverse option pass, more screen passes and 5-7 yard quick slants , flea flicker pass , and outs to stop Josh Allen from sacking us over and over. . I thought this type of offense would be shown this season ,but there are a few reasons weren’t. Neither Pass or Cunningham have the ability ,accuracy and zing on the ball to throw 10-12 yards outs ,, Cunningham repeatedly lobbed the ball instead of firing it yesterday showing he has little confidence, . Same with Pass ,who continually made horrible decisions and inaccurate passes, in retrospect Travis should have been allowed to start a game earlier this year to se what he had, I love Jaden Johnson,who has the arm ,confidence and zing on the ball to be a very good QB . QB have to have a swagger or quiet calm about them and be smart enough to adjust, Pass never looked off DB’s always throwing to the receiver he looked at . Easy to guard against. Our offensive line is offensive to say the least. Porous ,penalty prone and looks lost . A lot of this lack of pass protection is the inability for Pass and Cunningham to throw quickly , getting rid of the hall in 3 seconds or less

The defense must put 8-9 in the box to stop Snell and the running attack .sell out and dare Wilson to beat us ,2 use linebacker and / or safety blitzes used against Wilson if they can slow up the run , pressure Wilson into an early turnover and get a lead is a must .get KY thinking and maybe get what is LEFT of our fan. Base fired up for once this season. If we do some of these things we may have a chance.

And most important NO STUPID PEANLTIES ,FALSE STARTS, AND PERSONAL FOULS. .MAYBE WE CAN BE COMPETITIVE FOR ONLY THE SECOND TIME THIS YEAR

I like to think that I am a reasonable person. If coach leaves this year I have complete confidence in our AD to make another big time hire. If coach stays this time and continues to raise up our program, I expect him to be moving on in 4-5 years, most probably to the NFL. My question for you guys is if coach comes to you this year, do you believe that he will retire as your coach?

With the NCAA D2 Football playoff and FCS Playoff successfully completing playoff brackets year in and year out, we feel it is time to start the argument to why we should have a 8 team College Football Playoff system in place.

A 13 member committee completes this selection process, instead of the BCS computers that used to finish the NCAA FBS Top 25. Because the Tournament only has four teams, this usually creates a cause for concern among power five programs and other less lucrative programs in smaller conferences like UCF. The fact of the matter is, anyone can claim a national title these days and we plan on crowning our champion by influencing all members of every Top 25 committee to do whats right for not only each college football program, but also each individual student-athlete who deserves a shot at the national title.

Top 25 College Football 2018

We started our predictions for the College Football Playoffs back in week two of the CFB season and ever since then, we have predicted the outcome of nearly every major Top 25 nationally and the CFP polls, which at this point are all that matters. Note: we had teams like Pitt and Army in last week, as well as Utah State, who has been in our polls since week six.





Washington State Football

After watching Washington State completely destroy a very hot Arizona team, I started to think why not Washington State in the College Football Playoff? They have the best fans I have seen all year when it comes to supporting their beloved Cougars and Coach Leach has arguably surpassed many as one of the greatest football minds of all time. Stats-wise they are similar to Alabama and Notre Dame, while also having a very intriguing style of play for our beloved media to either praise or devour. I would like to see the Cougars devour their foes in the College Football Playoffs, but Clemson just beat a very good Duke team, but will face off against my fathers old team the Pitt in the ACC Championship.




Alabama vs Notre Dame

Alabama has a notable football schedule if you have a SEC bias, which many do in our College Football polls in College Football Today. Then you will easily place the dynasty that is the Alabama Crimson Tide Football at the top again and again. But if you study the progression of a team and how much better they are becoming over a period of time and the fact that Notre Dame just beat #12 Syracuse, whom with a win would have jumped into the CFP discussion themselves, you begin to see a team that could possibly hoist the College Football Playoff Championship Trophy when it is all said and done. I am not saying Alabama is overrated, but when the score is 10-10 against a sub .500 FCS team, you start to wonder if the pollsters are seeing the bigger picture. Missouri just beat Tennessee by a score of 50-17 and Alabama beat Tennessee 58-21, we have Missouri in our Top 25, as they beat Florida, Vanderbilt and Tennessee handily. Why does this matter for Notre Dame? Well, Notre Dame does not schedule FCS opponents and they surely wouldn't be tied at halftime. This was a rude awakening for the rest of the world of how the powers that be are letting somethings slide that do not abide by the codes set forth by the legendary figures in our beloved game. "Football is what have you done for me lately business." I believe is the quote, guess you should deal with the fact that Notre Dame is the new number one team in College Football Today until proven wrong.


Pitt Football

Do I believe Pitt can beat Clemson? Well, I have been predicting them every week since I started my CFB picks and not because the team my father played for in college. Pitt beat Syracuse 44-37 and then went on to play our number one ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish. They nearly toppled the Irish and were beaten in a very close contest 19-14. They have since gone on a 4-game winning streak as they have beaten Duke, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest to get a chance to go up against the Clemson Tigers in the ACC Championship game. With coach's abysmal 22 -38 record at CU, he can only hope that the plethora of talent coming in this year can save not only this season, but Coach MacIntyre's job, as the word is around town, his seat is getting rather hot. If the Buffs can eliminate needless distractions this season and figure out their 'why'? Then they can put the season into proper perspective and be able to operate on the gridiron at full capacity and have a great season in PAC-12 play. Rashaan Salaam brought fire and energy to the Kordell Stewart led offense in 1994 and was able to hoist the Heisman Trophy when it was all said and done. I would like send my condolences to his family as I know it was very hard to understand why such a talented and loving young man would take his own life.
