Is that where a lot of message boards are almost deserted, even with this disaster of a season, ours is very active. It shows we care, and are vocal. It’s probably tough to read some of the things posted here if you are a player or a coach or a coaches family. But, we are not apathetic....yet. If we ever become apathetic, the football program is in deep trouble. If we stay engaged as a fan base, we can come back- fairly quickly.

I just returned from my polling place and I predict the highest turnout in years. I was 5th in line but there were between 20 an 30 people behind me in line. GO VOTE! It is your right regardless of whom or what you vote for.

As was first reported by @Mark Ennis on Twitter, Russ Yeast will transfer from Louisville his dad Craig Yeast confirmed to me.

Yeast played in 9 games as a true freshman in 2017 totaling 23 tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 2 passes defended. As a sophomore, Yeast had only played in 3 games recording 3 tackles and was mainly used on special teams.

I refuse to let these idiots take over the stadium. I hope our fans at least come out for this game. I don't care how bad we are and how "good" they are. Their offense is so abysmal outside of Snell that we could actually win this game. I urge you all to come to the game. This is a rivalry game. ANYTHING can happen. AKA 2 years ago when we were favored by 26 and lost. It's at our house. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN.

Michigan Football is currently ranked 9th on 247 football team recruiting rankings, with two 5 star commits and CFB Today Top 300 FB recruits in elite safety Daxton Hill and Strong side defensive end Chris Hinton. Coach Harbaugh, who has been nominated as CFB Today's FBS College Football Coach of The Year, has a extremely key eye for talent and in being able to gauge a players upside, as I witnessed one of the best overall 2022 recruits in Tyler Martin exhibit remarkable play on the field. Coach Harbaugh did not waste anytime and extended a verbal offer to Tyler Martin that was contingent upon his progression on and off the field the next four years.

You can't account for this type of production statistically. He is the complete opposite of let's say, Ed Oliver when it comes to being able to hold his ground and torment the opposition up front. This allows his little brother Top 2021 LB Recruit Chris Murray (featured below) and the rest of the Husky defense to stalk their prey without any interference from oncoming blockers. I know, I know... he hasn't coached a game yet, but it was still an interesting answer.

Mack on 840 WHAS on Louisville being his last job: "I have zero aspirations to coach in the NBA. I wanted to play there, but unless they are looking for a 40-year old forward, you don't have to worry about the NBA."

SVP just did an entire segment about how bad Bobby Petrino has been as a head coach and called out his sons on staff. He mixed in awful stats, kids transferring out, decommitments, and more. Honestly, I don’t think it could get any worse from a non-scandal perspective. It is flat out embarrassing and it 100% is costing and will continue to cost the school millions.

From predicting Bobby Petrino was quietly on the hot seat prior to the season to highlighting Louisville’s consistently pathetic performances throughout the year, the lowlights of the Cardinal program have been dutifully chronicled on Yahoo Sports. We predicted the hire of Brian VanGorder would be a disaster, just like his time at Notre Dame. And it has. We predicted that Bobby Petrino having three relatives on his staff making a total of $650,000 would be an issue, especially because they were lightly qualified. And, well, they have.

But what no one could have predicted is how obvious Louisville’s decision to fire Bobby Petrino and eat the $14 million buyout would become. Louisville is in shaky financial straits, as the departures of Tom Jurich cost $4.5 million and the hiring of new basketball coach Chris Mack will cost $28 million over the next seven years. (There’s a $40 million lawsuit regarding Rick Pitino looming as well.)

But as colleague Pat Forde pointed out in a tweet on Saturday, the Louisville football program plummeted to a nadir where Louisville can’t afford to not fire Petrino. We’ve become numb to Louisville masquerading as a Sun Belt team and unsurprised by lowlights like the ironically named Marlon Character celebrating an illegal hit on a defenseless returner while trailing by 46. This is the new normal at Louisville, somewhere south of the crossroads of inept and undisciplined. Even the most cynical pessimist couldn’t have predicted these depths.

I realize the coaches are a joke and that Petrino has no motivational skills, but the players still need to give effort. Play for your teammates, play for your future, play because you have some pride. We were sitting in the end zone close to UofL’s bench. The players were bullshitting on the sidelines and the guys on the field were so soft and slow. Whomever takes over for Petrino needs to have an opening team meeting like the epic Charlie Strong one. Somewhere these guys need some pride. I can tell you firsthand that the Clemson players and fans were laughing at UofL.

Clear targeting call and he was acting like he just set the table for the Cards to score a 50 point touchdown to get back in the game.

Maybe he was just happy to get thrown out so he wouldn't have to act like he was playing any longer.

As awful as we are, things change quickly in college football. We weren’t nearly as good as we thought in 2016, and things aren’t nearly as desperate as we think now. New coach, new players and an offseason can fix this temporary he’ll in relative short order.

By the numbers it appears Malik Cunningham deserves to be the guy going forward and frankly, it isn't even close. If you read my Clemson postgame thoughts post you will know that I was advocating for Cunningham to be the guy so seeing these numbers are not surprising at all.

The Cards barely won the Western Kentucky game. In fact they surely didn't "deserve" the win. After this game is when BP could have made two changes that would have likely saved his career at UofL. The Fixes:

1. Install Cunningham as the Starting QB.

2. Keep paying Nick his salary but keep him away from all players during practice or games. Let him go upstairs during games. Let him do analytics work. (You can still call him the QB Coach for the rest of the season. Just don't let him talk to or coach a QB.

In hindsight these two changes would have improved the Offense enough to eke out wins over Virginia and Florida State. The season would have started out 4-1.

And who knows what might have happened afterward.

Recruiting is extremely difficult right now but regardless the Cardinals are expected to host a pair of 4-star official visitors to the Louisville/NC State game. Even with the tough conditions the staff has continued to recruit and this is a testament to that bringing in a pair of IMG Academy prospects.
