Wow, Curry with school ncaa record 41 pts

Jayda played one of the greatest games ever. A heroic performance.

I wasn't a big fan of her last year-too streaky shooting, not a confident ballhandler, poor defensively and kind of soft. But this year she improved drastically in all levels and was a great leader, too. She was basically our only effective shooter late in the season. Props to her, she deserves more recognition for her season.

FB RECRUITING: 2026 Joel Ervin Update: Decommits

Basketball is just different in that respect. All bowl games except for the playoffs are meaningless, while every game in the NCAAT is meaningful. Basketball is a “non-contact” sport, so anyone opting out of an NCAAT game is going to result in very intense criticism.

Not saying it won’t eventually happen, but it would have to be a situation like Cooper Flagg coming off of that ankle injury he suffered in the ACCT and playing on an 11-seeded team in the first four. The problem with that scenario which makes it so unlikely is that the consensus number one overall draft pick is very seldom on a team that bad.

The official that gave us NOTHING, and gave PK a T, is from Nebraska.

Brooks Wells.

Grand Island--2 hour drive from Creighton

The refs DID NOT beat us. They were the better team.

But how does this happen? I mean Nebraska is not California. How many total refs are even from Nebraska, and Creighton gets him?

He called the first quick foul on Chucky.

At the game I was thinking, damn, this guy is calling everything on us, and nothing on them.

Just sucks.

He sucked

NCAAT Discussion Thread

Bill Oliver: I had shared my thoughts about Dickerson, and Shelf in a previous thread, one where my focus was on why Shelf let Dickerson return to the floor given the bizarre performance he exhibited, but mostly after witnessing how Kansas erased the 10 point deficit and went up by three with Dickerson on the bench.

I did not think at the time about point shaving, but can appreciate how a Jay Hawk fan would question that possibility.
I think it was Napoleon that said don’t ascribe to malevolence what could be just incompetence…..so me pointing out point shaving was a stretch. We have all seen it: can’t miss guy that’s a big piece of the puzzle comes in and it just doesn’t work. Thousands of things: fit, style, team mates, coach, pressure….maybe just ready to go on. That’s what happened with Dickinson. Self putting him in at crunch time was coaching error. I think Pitino did the same keeping his Big East POY candidate on the bench.
For me I’m glad Kansas is out, I’m glad UCONN is out…if they had beaten Florida they could well be shooting for that 3rd and Hurley would have been….well.
Biggest miscarriage was North Carolina in. They just didn’t deserve to be there over a West Virginia.
Maryland could be getting measured for those Cinderella slippers. Confident, playing well and hit that last second heartbreaker that final four teams often seem to get.
