IU showing exactly why they aren't a playoff team. I understand how they ended up making the 12 team playoff, but several three loss teams are better than the Hoosiers, including a 4 loss Louisville.
I think we're going to see similar teams in the playoff in the years to come, and maybe one of those times a team like that will make the final game.
It wasn't going to be Indiana. And ND best celebrate tonight because they will not beat Georgia, a team with their backup QB starting. The Irish will not be dominating the lines against the Dogs.
The line will be around even. It will be a good game.
The playoff is about 2 things, money and giving more teams access. It was never really needed to determine the 2 best teams. At the beginning of the year most thought it would be UGA, Ohio State, Texas and Oregon. Probably going to end up with 2 of these 4.
I don’t think the playoff changes brands winning the title. They just have more talent and money. It is really interesting watch the portal moves. The majority of the SEC transfer move inside the conference. You rarely see a starter transfer outside the SEC. You only see kids that didn’t play much transfer outside the SEC. They recycle talent. Every team has dudes.
I thought more SEC talent would cycle out to ACC or Big 12 but so far that talent is staying in the SEC. Brooks was exactly what I thought would happen. A really talent kid leaves Alabama comes to Louisville does great. It makes sense weaker defenses more production. Instead what you see is the kids go to another SEC school end up with OK results but they make bank.
