IU-Notre Dame

IU showing exactly why they aren't a playoff team. I understand how they ended up making the 12 team playoff, but several three loss teams are better than the Hoosiers, including a 4 loss Louisville.

I think we're going to see similar teams in the playoff in the years to come, and maybe one of those times a team like that will make the final game.

It wasn't going to be Indiana. And ND best celebrate tonight because they will not beat Georgia, a team with their backup QB starting. The Irish will not be dominating the lines against the Dogs.

I mean hell if they go for it earlier and go down and score, they're only down 8 or 9 and now they get the onside kick. Doesn't make any sense 😕

The line will be around even. It will be a good game.

The playoff is about 2 things, money and giving more teams access. It was never really needed to determine the 2 best teams. At the beginning of the year most thought it would be UGA, Ohio State, Texas and Oregon. Probably going to end up with 2 of these 4.

I don’t think the playoff changes brands winning the title. They just have more talent and money. It is really interesting watch the portal moves. The majority of the SEC transfer move inside the conference. You rarely see a starter transfer outside the SEC. You only see kids that didn’t play much transfer outside the SEC. They recycle talent. Every team has dudes.

I thought more SEC talent would cycle out to ACC or Big 12 but so far that talent is staying in the SEC. Brooks was exactly what I thought would happen. A really talent kid leaves Alabama comes to Louisville does great. It makes sense weaker defenses more production. Instead what you see is the kids go to another SEC school end up with OK results but they make bank.

UGA is very good with either starting QB, and I will concede that Bulldogs are clearly the favorite. However, Riley Leonard has the skill set to lead a ND upset. We have yet to see the vision and elusive running that he has exhibited during his career, and any chance of a ND win will require that sort of performance from Leonard.

This will be the first time I will be pulling for the Irish to win a sporting event.

Notre Dame has a good defense that is SEC level. They will keep them in the game. It really boils down to can Notre Dame put up enough points. They probably need 24-28 to win.

Looked to me the coach of the year was more concerned about not losing big instead of taking risks to win.

He should have played with more risk on offense instead of matching ND with sustained drives, especially after that 98 yard TD run by ND. IU needed the big plays to put the pressure on ND, but they went conservative and didn't want to lose the game in the 1st half.

Down 14 to 0, he should have went for it instead of kicking the FG as an example.

They (Indiana) deserved what they got last night and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving team. Oh btw, if Cig is going to talk like he did, absolutely don’t do it before the game because it could come back and bite him in the butt and it did and was deserved.

I don’t like Notre Dame, but at least they didn’t cancel the game with us.

IU coach thinks very highly of himself IMO.

Cocky to a fault.

When his guys are gone he’ll get an awakening that started last night
He has an edge to him that says he has a chip on his shoulder about something. Perhaps he reminds me of my younger self. And that is not good in the long run.

No matter what he acomplishes in the future, he will always be remembered around here as the guy who chickened out of a game with the Cards.

That was a rancid game. Good Lord!!

IU Coach needn't worry too much about a major upgrade. Man he needed an injection of testosterone.

IU definitely wasn't ready for the biggest stage, top to bottom.
Now,I'm sitting here wondering if vanilla SMU is either.

Jennings pic sixes look so bad it makes you wonder if he did it on purpose? I mean is he blind, especially on that second one?

How I wish Louisville's opponents would throw the ball right to us for two easy touchdowns.

He's obviously not handling the cold weather well. He needs to make it happen with his feet. And no,he's not an NFL Qb

Two refs staring right at the play and neither said the runner is down and no fumble. SMU had no chance in this game.
