My only point that I was trying to make is that some fans think we get extra credit or recognition that ND plays us and ACC opponents but they are also smiling and giving us the middle finger by not "joining" as an actual member. They have always acted as better than anybody out there by being an independent. For those who want to say but we only lost by 7 to ND, its almost nearly as bad as UK saying they are a football powerhouse because they're SEC, SEC, SEC. They're hanging on the coattails of the Alabama's, Georgia's, LSU's and soon to be Texas and Oklahoma except those teams are actually SEC members. I hate both Ohio St and ND, but if it had to come down to it, I would pick the Buckeyes over the priviledged green and gold.
OSU beat PSU by 7 points. Both OSU and Notre Dame dominated IU.What was effective for ND was Georgia having to start the "greenest" of QB's and it was pretty effective for the Penn State cornerback falling down and leaving open the receiver he was defending all alone for the tying touchdown.
OSU smoked both IU and Penn State this season and didn't need good luck and favorable flags to do it. ND should lose this game by double digits. But, as we all know, the better team doesn't always win.
20 wins plus a run to ACC title game and a 6 seed in Tourney seems possible to me.Okay boys and girls, I'm here to tell you all by March Louisville should not only be a tournament team, but a high seeded team.
So far, through six conferences games, the Cards have already played four of the top teams in the conference, winning three of them. The remaining 14 conference games are not so daunting a task to win.
Tell me how many of these games would the Cards be the underdog and where do you see a likely defeat?
@ Cuse 8-8
Virginia 8-8
@ SMU 12-4
Wake Forest 12-4
@ Georgia Tech 8-9
@ BC 9-7
Miami 4-12
@ NC State 9-7
@ ND 7-9
FSU 11-5
@ Virginia Tech 7-9
Pitt 12-4
California 8-8
Standard 11-5
So there you have it. How many wins will Louisville end up with? Playing like they are and no more serious injuries, I forsee something like 23 and 8.
The three losses to SMU, NC State and Pitt. If there's a 4th loss I would see it being Wake or ND.
So 22 or 23 wins would mean no bubble and probably a #5 or #6 seed.
Then there's the conference tournament which I believe is something Kelsey would thrive in. A run to the title game with Duke could move the Cards up to a #4 seed.
This Louisville team has proven to me even limited with injuries, that they are a very good team and due to a historic bad ACC conference, will take full advantage. Coach Kelsey will be ACC coach of the year and a candidate for national coach of the year.
Right. Ask Arizona St.But, as we all know, the better team doesn't always win.
It will be proof positive of the bias against Louisville if media voters don't include the Cards in the top 25.Mens team won't be ranked this week. Didn't receive votes last week. 36th in NET. That's all that matters!
Maybe so but it’s just stupid and played out at this point. I will play Devils Advocate and say it’s fine when UK does it because we are rivals and that comes with being in a rivalry game. But for teams like Miami, Pitt, and insert whatever team we are playing just looks stupid on TV.I don't get the whole L's down reaction. Texas fans have been putting up with 'horns downs" for literally forever. It means nothing.
