Louisville stop rate defense ranked 92nd

Turnover margin stat doesn't mean anything in regards to the offense. They are middle of the road ranked 48th. Turnover created as stated earlier 108. That is why the turnover margin sucks. They aren’t generating turnovers.

To me which units performance good or bad tied to coaching? It is clear the issues on defense are directly related to coaching. Just because Brohm is an offensive coach doesn’t mean his offenses will always be able to cover for a bad defense. Blaming the offense for not scoring the one or two times the defense gets a stop is crazy. They aren’t playing against air. Notre Dame, Miami and SMU are top 30 defenses. They are going to get stops.

Now good teams do at key times get’s stops and the offense scores. The offense had their shot at Norte Dame and SMU didn’t convert. That is going to happen against good defenses.

Brohm's comments on Lacy:

Can’t really be mad at the players for taking advantage of the poor system. With that said if you have pro aspirations this isn’t a good business decision. It will be perceived quitting. Agent shutting him down to make more money. I seriously doubt he will be back.

Brohm/coaches are screwed because the power is 100 percent with the players and their agents. All the stuff over the summer was agents going back to get more money after a deal was agreed to. The Barrow stuff could have had an impact on the Purdue edge. Then having his clients stir up shit in the locker room. Boone was he wasn’t happy with his spot on depth chart. Looks like he was over hyped.

The thing with the portal is you have very little time to judge character of the player or their agent. Lacy maybe a really good kid but if his agent is a slim ball guess who is driving business decisions. Coaches are going to get burned.

Brohm's comments on Lacy:

We still have the best WR in the ACC in Ja’Corey Brooks
Ja’Corey has been balling out and moving up the draft boards.
Brooks is that dude at the WR position. To me he is a throwback, except he is not as cocky as Keshawn or TO but he has the ability to make spectacular catches and plays after the catch.

We've committed six turnovers outright in the last seven games, and eight TOs on downs (failed 4th down conversions).

That's 14 in those games by the offense.

Is the defense great? No, and neither is the damn offense...

Umm ok.

Here’s what you said: “Turnover margin includes turnovers we have committed. The defense has nothing to do with those…”.

And then I pointed out that we suck in turnovers gained.

Anyways, if it makes you feel better, I agree that we haven’t been playing good complementary football.
