Point on about Nyla. I really thought this was going to be her team to lead this year. Maybe Olivia staying caused a rift? Or, maybe she just lost her fire for the game.Same, but I think Walz and other coaches will adjust. Im not concerned about Walz adjusting to it yet, but I would be if it continued after our next season (even though I think we will be better next season). To me it seemed like Nyla was improving every year except this past year. This year she didn’t look like herself physically or athletically and seemed to regress. She didn’t seem right from the start of the season sadly.
Agreed. I thought the hire was ‘odd’. Yet, she seemed to jump in and embrace her role. Plus at least for me, I didn’t her name in conversations. We heard Bendibuttplug’s name ALL the time and that isn’t good in my opinion.Towson State in Baltimore explains just about everything we need to know about the Leadership at UL, as her DEI reputation preceded her arrival here. The irony for me, is hearing how much Schatzel contributed to UL during her brief tenure from those few who I know on the faculty, particularly considering by low expectations when she was hired.
Hand in hand with the first part of my post above ☝️Perhaps the answer is as simple as UL is no longer obtaining the services of pitchers with MLB-level talent like before.

There are so many examples of unpredictable behavior exhibited just here at UL, but the latest one that I find curious is Nyla Harris. She showed early signs of living up to her 4 Star ranking when she arrived at UL, but over the course of her career, it appeared to me that she lost interest and while failing to improve her game.
I remain a huge fan of Jeff Walz, both on the court and off ……. so I am inclined towards assigning the responsibility more to the players rather than to Jeff and his staff.
Not a far reaching accomplishment to hang your hat on. Good riddance. If her strength was DEI
