Screw’em. Let them all go. Tired of this portal crap. Just about ready to drop my season tickets. I hate what the NCAA has allowed to happen. Ruining college sports.

Not too surprised by this, or by Nyla Harris. Arenas is not going to play over Taj Roberts, just like Harris is not going to play over Mackenly Randolph next year.

Best of luck to both young ladies at their new schools.

Now if we lose either of the two players I just mentioned, I will be pretty mad right there along with you!

I cannot imagine what level of frustration that CJW, and for that matter any WBB Coach must experience in dealing with these young ladies in this culture and environment.

There are so many examples of unpredictable behavior exhibited just here at UL, but the latest one that I find curious is Nyla Harris. She showed early signs of living up to her 4 Star ranking when she arrived at UL, but over the course of her career, it appeared to me that she lost interest and while failing to improve her game.

I remain a huge fan of Jeff Walz, both on the court and off ……. so I am inclined towards assigning the responsibility more to the players rather than to Jeff and his staff.

Same, but I think Walz and other coaches will adjust. Im not concerned about Walz adjusting to it yet, but I would be if it continued after our next season (even though I think we will be better next season). To me it seemed like Nyla was improving every year except this past year. This year she didn’t look like herself physically or athletically and seemed to regress. She didn’t seem right from the start of the season sadly.

Point on about Nyla. I really thought this was going to be her team to lead this year. Maybe Olivia staying caused a rift? Or, maybe she just lost her fire for the game.

Okay, I think too many fans expected to see from Harris what they thought they should be seeing. For me, I didn't see that much at all for such a highly rated recruit. I thought she was going to transfer before this past season and I would have been alright with it.

She's never had many post moves and she's never been a good shooter and she's not very athletic. She's a good rebounder but that's about it. I don't know about any rift with Cochran but she gave good effort most of the time.

She's just not very talented offensively and her best part on a good team is her being a role player. She's not a 1 or 2 option on offense. She just isn't. But she can be a valuable sub on the front line, crashing the boards and playing good defense.

I get it from a coaching perspective he wanted to keep both Harris and Cochran. The problem was they were the same player. Couldn’t consistently hit a jumper and no post moves. It is OK to have one of those but not 2.

The fact they won as much as they did is due to their coaching. The issue is the last 2 years the pieces really didn’t fit. To me going deep with the freshman class in this environment is an odd choice. But he knows what he is doing.
