The Cards showed their depth and got some big efforts out of a few players that don't normally top the list on kills.
Nena Mbonu, "PK" Kong and Amaya Tiliman each had nine kills to the lead #2 University of Louisville volleyball team to a 25-18, 25-15, 25-22 sweep of Virginia in ACC play Friday night in Charlottesville.
The Cards are unbeaten in the conference with a mark of 9-0 and stand at 18-1 overall. The Cardinals hit .255 with nine aces and ten blocks. Claire Chaussee pitched in eight kills and a block. Tillman had seven blocks and four aces.
The Cards now prepare for a biggie against #8 Pitt Sunday at 1 p.m. in Pittsburgh. Catch it on ESPNU.
The Panthers are 19-2 and on a 12-game win streak.
