Well, we still have a couple more days left of the dead period but there are a couple names and pieces of info I wanted to drop by for you all.
- First and foremost, I was told that Louisville's recruiting department is putting in a ton of extra hours sorting through film and evaluating guys, trying to get caught up to find the best possible guys before NSD. Due to that I would expect new names will really start popping up in the next couple weeks.
- Grad transfer LB TJ Holl, who I reported on last week having received a Louisville offer, said he is working to set up a visit to Louisville. Holl's film is VERY impressive and would be an excellent addition to the Louisville defense for 2019.
- Another LB name to keep an eye on is 4-star JUCO Lakia Henry who recently decommitted from Tennessee. I know Louisville has interest in Henry and while he is a highly sought after prospect, it sounds as though the Cardinals coaching staff may at least try to make a run at him.
- There is definitely at least some level of interest from 4-star CB Joshua Sanguinetti so that is something to at least monitor. I'm not sure he is very high on Louisville's recruiting board but we will see if things change if a few other prospects don't work out.
- Keeping with the defensive backfield, 3-star CB Dequanteous Watts publicly has a top 3 of UCF, Ole Miss, and South Carolina, but said he had heard from Louisville and is expecting to hear more this week (when the dead period ends). Watts did says that depending on how hard Louisville comes after him it could definitely affect his commitment plans so keep an eye on him as well.
