We only have one recruit coming in next year I was wondering what has happened to our recruiting. I looked at the list of players that Louisville was recruiting and there was a lack of interest in Louisville from possible recruits.
I know that we have 9 freshmen but to only have one recruit is a concern since we do have some needs. Have we lost our main recruiters or is the lack of NIL money the problem. We need to try and get a player like Laura Ziegler from St. John’s to transfer in She is a 6’1” power forward with good size if not her someone like her.

I think Jeff is working the international market and that generally happens in the late spring and summer; we need help!

Since Sam Purcell left for Ms St I don’t think we have been as good. The male coach and the female from Ga Tech - to me - are just average. Of course, that is just my opinion looking in from the outside.

Sam has had three top 25 recruiting classes but just can’t do a lot with them. CJW and Sam were probably a perfect match one is a great coach and the other one is a great recruiter.

Need to recruit bugs that have hops, and quickness. Would be nice to get an over six foot wing with speed and hops.

Jeff is so competitive, that I expect that he is working tirelessly on finding at least one or two of the best transfers possible.

Not just after witnessing them win the ACC tournament, I believe that Duke has the sort of athleticism on their roster that Jeff would like to have. Despite playing one extra game, they not only beat both ND and NCST, they did it with a level of energy that should have belonged to their opponents.

I may be incorrect, but watching ND lose 3 of their last 5 games since being rated #1, just from the “body language and facial expressions”, I sensed that Miles and Hidalgo have caused some chemistry issues on the court with the upperclassman.

Duke has one of the best guards in the country coming in next year so with that and what they have coming back they should be the top team next year. When I looked up our recruiting targets for next year they had a list of 10 players and none of them had any interest. Something has changed either the way we recruit or we aren’t getting enough NIL money.

Coach needs to let fans know and ASK for finding. The world has changed. Maybe hire a general manager to coordinate specific tasks to allow him to get coaching staff up to snuff.

We had 3* from Meade County commit. Unfortunately, we haven’t had a ton of success with in-state shooters/scorers.

We have the 6 ft 5 player from Danville Christian coming in next year. Assistant coach told me
she is really talented and would probably start as a Freshman. Her stats are very good. She has
her team in the state tournament. She didn't get much national publicity because she attends
a small private school. Talked to person who saw her in LIT and said she was impressive.
She is not a banger but but rebounds well, handles ball well, and can score in multiple ways
I am told.

She is the one I was referring to as our only recruit the big plus is she is 6’5”. We need another banger someone like Laura Ziegler of St. John’s. I don’t know if she is available but someone like her. She is 6’1” but really strong around the rim.

I heard that as well. Isla can be the banger. We need a shot disruptor and rebounder.

Among other areas of need, a shot blocking threat would be nice. I'm excited about the 6-5 incoming freshman from Danville and Isla plays big and shows some potential.
Our 6-3 backup center this year played 402 minutes and did not block a shot.

Peyton Bradley from Meade County, Ky has committed to Louisville for this incoming class. Bradley is a 5’10” guard and one of the top scores in Kentucky. She had offers from mid major schools but I like this pick up. I like the fact that she is from the state but I really like that she is a good outside shooter who is shooting at a good percentage rate.
When you get a guard you look for a ball handler, a scorer and a high basketball IQ.
