Thoughts and Nuggets on Selection Sunday / Bracket / Louisville

***Before I dive into the bracket side of things, I want to address the starting lineup. I think it needs a shakeup heading into the tournament. Whether this is Fore heading to the bench for VJ or Darius, I'm not sure. I just think Mack needs to switch things up.

***Honestly, I like Louisville's draw other than Duke as the 1. But if we play Duke it would be to go to the Final 4, so not too much to complain about if that happens. I would rather play Minnesota than Florida or Iowa (some of the other 10 seeds). Also, I think Louisville matches up very well with Michigan State considering we've already beaten them. A couple reasons I like the matchup: Langford and Ahrens will not be playing. Michigan State now goes maybe 8 deep. Also, they don't really have great length and their bigs are slow. Enoch struggles defending quicker bigs so I like this aspect as well.

***Kentucky has a fairly easy draw, but they need to look out for Wofford in the second round if Wofford gets past Seton Hall. I watched Wofford play a couple of times this year and they can absolutely stroke it from 3.

The NCAA didn't really even use the NET rankings.

LOVE seeing that Coach Crum was invited over as the team and a bunch of the staff and administration gathered at Coach Mack's house to watch the selection show.

Dick Vitale has Louisville as his sleeper team out of the East. Take that as you will.

I really think the Cards can make a run and get to the Sweet 16. Here's hoping that comes to fruition.

More Trouble For Kansas?

Kansas' football and men's basketball programs are currently being investigated by the NCAA, sources told CBS Sports.

A source working with the attorney for former Jayhawks football coach David Beaty told CBS Sports that Beaty was interviewed by the NCAA on Feb. 27 as part of an ongoing inquiry regarding possible wrongdoing by a former assistant coach. Kansas was already under NCAA scrutiny as part of the FBI investigation into college basketball. CBS Sports reported last month that Kansas officials were concerned an NCAA infractions case was being developed as a result of the Silvio De Sousa reinstatement case.

An NCAA enforcement official is known to have been on campus conducting an inquiry into basketball. Coach Bill Self was not interviewed for the De Sousa reinstatement, but experts tell CBS Sports that isn't out of the ordinary if the NCAA is also conducting a formal infractions inquiry.

Kansas assistant Kurtis Townsend was heard on a wiretap in October 2018 discussing what it would take to land superstar Zion Williamson.
