NIL Collective Revenue by Public University

I post this here because it is the first time I have seen for myself a ranking on NIL Collective Revenues by School:

"LISTING OF ALL NIL COLLECTIVES & REVENUE BY SCHOOL
There are 362 NCAA I member schools of which 211 currently have NIL collectives and 151 do not. All 69 members of the “power 5” conferences have supporting collectives while slightly more than half of all other NCAA I schools currently do not.

Average Funding per NIL Collective by Group:
Power 5 Schools $9.8M (66% to Football/24% to Mbb/10% all others)
Group 5 Schools $1.4M (50% to Football/37% to Mbb/13% all others)
FCS D1 Schools $733K (52% to Football/32% to Mbb/16% all others)

Based on 2022 Booster support, the following is our estimate of NIL collective 2023-24 funding per school:

I think sometimes you don't know what you need until you get it

After LAZY Kenny.

We got the complete opposite in literally every way.

This guy may not be the best coach in the NCAA, but he may be the best for us.

Social media is ablaze with positivity, season tickets are being sold, and this guy is fired up to be here.

Put me at the top of the list that didn't have him at the top of my wish list. But I didn't know what I didn't know.

We might not sign elite recruits. But I bet we do, bet we get some guys willing to drink this guy's cool aid.

We could lose to KWC and Lee Anne Rhymes again.

But I bet we don't

Lazy basketball and excuses may be over

it sure seems like it

While we were celebrating our new hoops coach, former Card Will Smith gets PAID (sorry if this has already been posted).

LA Dodgers All Star catcher and former U of L (and KCD, the school, not the day) star signed a 10 year deal worth $140 million dollars.

Yowsa!

The Dodgers and Will Smith have agreed to terms on a 10-year, $140 million extension, believed to be the longest term for a catcher's contract.

Smith, 28, who was eligible for free agency after this season, has averaged 23 home runs with an .820 OPS the past three seasons, making his first All-Star Game in 2023. He now occupies some coveted real estate: Cleanup batter behind former MVPs Mookie Betts, Shohei Ohtani and Freddie Freeman.
___________

Smith's contract is also believed to be the longest one-time extension for a catcher, surpassing Buster Posey's nine-year, $167 million deal with San Francisco and Joe Mauer's eight-year, $184 million extension with Minnesota a decade ago.

Need all the fans

To get on board. I realize many don’t want to hear this. I get it, he wasn’t my top choice either but I’ll share some things.

I’ve posted for months that Kelsey is a rising star. I really believe that, as I’ve seen it with my own eyes. I’m not going to get into specifics and details, but from the agent world, coaches, administrators, etc, you’ll be hard pressed to find someone with a negative opinion of the guy.

The UMass deal hurt him a little and has caused people to pause in pursuing. I really think that will be to our benefit. The guy just needs a chance. He checks many boxes. I’ve seen him in camp settings, and recruiting. He gets it and his players love him.

I could go on and on, but I won’t. Bottom line, as fans we need to rally behind him. Firing everyone every couple years isn’t productive. Say what you want about Josh, but firing him won’t fix the issue either.

If he doesn’t have support he’ll fail. That’s the reality. Give him a chance and he’ll deliver. Fighting it and sitting home just delays any chance to get back to winning.

It’s going to take time, year 1 will be rough. Give him a chance.

Deangelo Russell - NBA guys

Breaking ground soon on a build for Deangelo Russell in louisville. Got me thinking it would be really awesome if PK can get him and Donovan and Siva to as many practices as possible to help tutor some guys and run drills with them.

I know UK and UNC have used those types of connections better than we have in the past. If we can have some NBA guys, Brickley, etc hanging around the program the recruits would love that, and then they can also teach the current players a trick or two as well. I know Donovan has been around a bit before with Mack I believe but Kenny…. I think we know he didn’t do shit.

There is a path forward with Kelsey to make this brand very sexy again in short order. I don’t doubt that PK will utilize every resource possible

Young Alumni ticket offer - MBB

FYI on this deal through UofL. If you have graduated within the last 5 years (undergrad or grad) you are eligible for up to 4 Young Alumni tickets in section 110 or 112. After yesterday's press conference, securing tickets was the first thing I wanted to do this morning and found this deal available. Probably the only seats in the arena that come without a required donation.

Recruiting board is actually going to have BASKETBALL news now!

Imagine that

So freakin fun!

This guy has changed the culture and added optimism in the first 2 minutes of opening his mouth

Just want to hug everyone!

Card fan since 1975--this has been hard on me.

Can't wait to scroll twitter now, and can't wait for breaking Cardinal news!

Let's freakin go!!!
