Its called team scouting and watching a lot of film. I think Scott has only missed 11 or 12 shots all season going into the game. He's now 55 for 67, a 82%, which is crazy. Clemson tried to shut down Chucky and Reyne and were pretty successful but couldn't stop Hadley. Every team is going to try and stop something we do. I still think Chucky is the secret sauce.i found the flaw in this team...they can't throw alley oops. i think i counted at least 5 failures. what a great failure to have though lol. o/w, dang these kids are ballin'!!!
I thought I was going to have to mute the broadcast but Devendorf did a pretty decent job. He gave Kelsey and the Cards a lot of respect but I guess when a team goes up by 20 on your alma mater, its hard to say a lot of good things about your team.Lots of Syracuse alums calling the game and in studio. We even take a back seat to old Big East teams in the ACC. Give Luke and Padgett more air time!
So lets just look at your example. You don't have to beat all of those teams, Auburn, Iowa St, Duke and Florida because as you know the tournament doesn't play out like we all think it will. There will be upsets. You might only face one of those teams. Blasphemy for me saying this but UCLA was unranked when we beat them in the 1980 championship. Does anybody care? I don't. We didn't have to face IU in the tournament who was preseason #1 then.seeding only matters to teams that can't win it all and their fanbases dream of sweet 16 runs.. it doesn't matter because if you're good you'll beat everyone. if you cannot beat a number 1 seed no matter your seed you won't win it all. only one #1 in your side of the bracket and only possibly three total you can face. so right now can you beat auburn, iowa st, duke and florida? my answer is yes, so who cares what seed we are, those assholes are scared of us now. make us a 16 for all i care and we'll beat the 1 in the first round.
but if you just watched this game alone, and no others before, you'd say they are the worst lob throwing team ever. i think at least two lobs if not three were blocked on the pass alone which rarely if ever happens so WTF was going on there, another two were so far off the rim the player couldn't make the shot or had to come back down with the ball and go back up and those failed to score, and i think a 5th simply failed to convert as shooter just missed. so based on this game alone, they absolutely sucked at trying lob dunks. go back and watch the game. tons of failures on the lobs. the only one that really scored was -Ibe getting fouled and making two free throws. o/w i think all lob dunk attempts failed. so based on this game, they suck lolOf course.
This is why all the SEC whining is stupid. There is a good chance Texas gets left out in the old format. There is also a good chance a 1 loss ND gets left out in old format. One of these 3, OSU, Texas, ND gets left out. What’s interesting is that under the old BCS system tOSU would never be in this position with 2 losses. I like the idea of ND winning because we played them nearly even and lost a close game. Frankly, I haven’t seen any teams in the playoffs that would have blown the Cards out.
Of course.i was being facetious of course
i was being facetious of courseThat was just this game as Syracuse was coached to look for the lob pass. The Cards have been alley ooping all season, just ask James Scott.
It will become more difficult further down the line as teams watch film of Louisville.
seeding only matters to teams that can't win it all and their fanbases dream of sweet 16 runs.. it doesn't matter because if you're good you'll beat everyone. if you cannot beat a number 1 seed no matter your seed you won't win it all. only one #1 in your side of the bracket and only possibly three total you can face. so right now can you beat auburn, iowa st, duke and florida? my answer is yes, so who cares what seed we are, those assholes are scared of us now. make us a 16 for all i care and we'll beat the 1 in the first round.Rankings do matter but at the end of the season because rankings = seeding.
