Lets discuss interest in National Rivalry games...

What are the ones you most look forward to watching? Mine are:

TX @ Tx A&M - would like to see the Longhorns spank the Aggies by alot

Wash @ Oregon - would be nice to see an upset here in the BIG to scramble the ranking and BIG champion

ND @ USC - hoping that USC can play as good as they did in last years bowl game and pull the upset to knock the Domers out of CFP

Others I like to see an upset in:

Auburn @ Bama - to furhter establish their mediocrity and boost the War Eagles season on a positive note

Purdue @ IU - would ba a major upset here and would hamper the Hooshiers CFP hopes somewhat I think

OK @ LSU - let the Sooner Boomer boom on Kelly's vastly over rated Tigers bringing them further down inleague standings & out of T-25

There you have it...that is my wish list for WEEK 14 games. What is yours and why? What say you?

Jeez, cheer up, pal. We’re going bowling, and have a great shot at 9 wins after a 10 win season last year. Stanford was a bad loss but those happen. I think your problem is expectations. After last year you were expecting huge things even with big roster churn and a much tougher schedule. After the last few years you have very low expectations for basketball so their performance is thrilling. Perspective please. Also, stop calling for the coaching staff to be fired (with one exception I’ll allow for Ron English). They have a winning ACC record and a winning overall record. I am confident for a victory at UK tomorrow to end yet another losing streak (Clemson).

Rank the game in order of interest to you other than UofL. Mine are:

1 -USCjr @ CU - taking my homer hat off here....I hope Carolina kicks Tigers Dabo butt, but if they don't I hope for a convincing win by CU

2 -GT @ UGA - would really love to see Tech wreck the Dawgs to dash playoff hopes for them and prove ACC teams can compete with SEC

3-UF @ FSU - Hope the listless Noles have a strong showing playing for pride and pull off the upset and further establish ACC this week

Of course I am pulling for the Cards to beat the Cats to start a new streak in our rivalry series. What say you?

CH, I seldom disagree with your pre-game or post-game analysis, but you and I have one disagreement about how Brohm needs to approach these games, particularly with the lead going into the 3rd and 4th quarters. Your #1 in this post makes my point; as in previous decades the team that was most successful running the football would prevail in the final score. That can still be the case, but for UL losing to underdogs like Stanford, and now UK …….. we must focus on scoring, despite the margin of our leads. These tendencies for Brohm to run on 1st and 2nd down, leaving 3rd and long has been our undoing. The odds on sustaining a drive are lower, and result in too many punts.

We have been largely successful using our TEs in the flat; a relatively conservative passing route that almost always results in 7-10 yards. We just have not seen as much since Johnson has been out, but Redman has been most dependable.

I can see Peyton's tutelage all over Chucky. If the camera shows us at timeouts,it's Siva that that typically greets Hepburn on the sideline to instruct and stroke his confidence.
I have no doubt that Siva will continue in this role as confidante to the point guards in the program and there was one particular play when Chucky drove,hesitated,then blew by for a layup. It had Siva written all over it.
This dude looks to be developing into a hybrid version of two of our favorite guards in the last 20 years- Peyton and Russ.

I hate to pile on but KP really missed the target big time not bringing Siva aboard.

At times, I feel it is more intense than all the other sports. Unlike soccer, there's a score every play and always hard to get a lot of separation so it usually always close.
