They (Indiana) deserved what they got last night and it couldn’t happen to a more deserving team. Oh btw, if Cig is going to talk like he did, absolutely don’t do it before the game because it could come back and bite him in the butt and it did and was deserved.

I don’t like Notre Dame, but at least they didn’t cancel the game with us.

Looked to me the coach of the year was more concerned about not losing big instead of taking risks to win.

He should have played with more risk on offense instead of matching ND with sustained drives, especially after that 98 yard TD run by ND. IU needed the big plays to put the pressure on ND, but they went conservative and didn't want to lose the game in the 1st half.

Down 14 to 0, he should have went for it instead of kicking the FG as an example.

I saw this coming; the SEC expansion was a clear statement to the perennial bottom feeders in the conference; either “pony up” the NIL money, or suffer the consequences. Vanderbilt came as close to “stepping up” as it possibly could and enjoyed one of its most successful seasons, yet finished 12th out of 16. UK finished 15th out of 16, and only MSU finished lower.

Stoops saw it coming too, which explains his earlier 2023-2024 offseason challenge to UK fans and alumni for NIL funding. I do not like Mark, so I am not sympathetic to his and UK’s situation, and THE CYCLE’s post is 100% correct ……. UK will return to its rightful bottom-feeder position where it resided for decades prior to Stoops arrival.

UGA is very good with either starting QB, and I will concede that Bulldogs are clearly the favorite. However, Riley Leonard has the skill set to lead a ND upset. We have yet to see the vision and elusive running that he has exhibited during his career, and any chance of a ND win will require that sort of performance from Leonard.

This will be the first time I will be pulling for the Irish to win a sporting event.

Man...gonna be tough looking at that crap again. 9 million a year sure doesn't get as much as it used to.
Malfeasance on the contract from Barnhart and the BOD for going along.
I really wonder if UK can be competitive in this new world. The expansion has really screwed them plus the portal. They literally have to thread a needle.

They will still land a good roster but boy that schedule is brutal. You never know but next year looks brutal. Every team they face has a legit QB. Every team is throwing significant dollars at their programs.

My take it isn’t a coach problem it is flat a money problem. One that can’t be fixed because the other SEC programs will always outspend them.

IU showing exactly why they aren't a playoff team. I understand how they ended up making the 12 team playoff, but several three loss teams are better than the Hoosiers, including a 4 loss Louisville.

I think we're going to see similar teams in the playoff in the years to come, and maybe one of those times a team like that will make the final game.

It wasn't going to be Indiana. And ND best celebrate tonight because they will not beat Georgia, a team with their backup QB starting. The Irish will not be dominating the lines against the Dogs.
The line will be around even. It will be a good game.

The playoff is about 2 things, money and giving more teams access. It was never really needed to determine the 2 best teams. At the beginning of the year most thought it would be UGA, Ohio State, Texas and Oregon. Probably going to end up with 2 of these 4.

I don’t think the playoff changes brands winning the title. They just have more talent and money. It is really interesting watch the portal moves. The majority of the SEC transfer move inside the conference. You rarely see a starter transfer outside the SEC. You only see kids that didn’t play much transfer outside the SEC. They recycle talent. Every team has dudes.

I thought more SEC talent would cycle out to ACC or Big 12 but so far that talent is staying in the SEC. Brooks was exactly what I thought would happen. A really talent kid leaves Alabama comes to Louisville does great. It makes sense weaker defenses more production. Instead what you see is the kids go to another SEC school end up with OK results but they make bank.
