Bowl Possible for UL: Holiday Bowl, Gator Bowl, Duke's Mayo Bowl

Pecking Order, Miami then UL/Cuse. With UL having been to the Holiday Bowl last Year. IMO that Bowl is out for UL. Miami may want to travel west for a more Prestigious Bowl and help their Recruiting exposure. Or do they want to stay in Florida to reward their fans? IMO their fans are disappointed, and they may have a disinterested Team and fans. So, I am thinking they go to Holiday Bowl to reward their players! This makes UL either in the Gator or the Mayo. I am thinking the League will send UL to the Gator. For a better matchup for the League against a higher ranked SEC Team. Playoff rankings are politics . League officials looking for wins in post season play! UL to the Gator! Cuse to the Mayo!!

A long 2024 Postmortem

This is a good thread. Everyone knows their stuff on here. A couple of thoughts:
agree 100% about needing NFL talent, especially on defense. Not sure how many NFL caliber guys will be in portal. Need to develop some younger dudes. We definitely blew the Stanford game. We did start the ND game with a fumble recovery on the opening kickoff, so that could be viewed as luck on our side. The UVA and BC games both came down to the wire. Ultimately, I think we probably were a 9-3 team with an 8-4 record. We only had 6 home games and next year that goes to 8. I’m excited for the future. Having the Clemson and UK albatrosses off our neck is part of the upward trajectory process.
A reasonable and fair assessment.

Wow, SMU in Bama Dropped

Was pleased that they followed past precedent and didn’t push SMU below an idle Alabama.

I hear lots of criticism about the format - giving the top 4 champions byes, but I much prefer a playoff that favors conference champions. If I had my way, all 9 conference champions would get in, and then you’d add the top 7 at large teams. No at large team would get a home game in round 1.

You are entitled to your interpretation of some of these posts, and you are also free to apply semantics to your argument about differentiating between attacks and criticism. Players read these responses and I suspect they are like me, specifically reading the criticism as an attack. Believe, I have no interest in censoring any opinions on this site whatsoever, but I personally see kids like Cochran and Harris as student athletes who deserve better.
All players who read message boards have to know there will be criticism of their play, as well as praise when they perform well. Attacking a player is personal attacks that have nothing to do with their performance. I'm certainly not doing that.

Both Cochran and Harris are trying and want to win, however both for me have been disappointing in their careers and the purpose of my post was on Coach Walz and his inability to bring in better post players.

If either player read what I wrote, I sincerely want them to know I in no way was attacking them as bad people or bad basketball players. I know they want to win.

Louisville vs UConn

I'm not attacking them. I'm criticizing them. Fans do that to all teams, their players and coaches. Both may be delightful people and I would never want any harm to come to them. Why some want to act like a damn political advisor and start saying they're being attacked is pretty frigging lame.
