The Cards climbed within one in the second half when Julia Simon drove a shot past the UVA goalkeeper in the 70th. minute of play but the Cavs quickly responded with a score and added an additional goal for the 4-1 win.

Louisville was outshot 25-7 in the match and UVA held a 11-1 advantage in shots on goal.
