Will always be known as the "banned" team, but also will be known as the can't get it done in crunch time on the road team as well. Against ranked teams on the road, it has been the same result each and every time. Michigan St, UK, Duke, Notre Dame and now Miami. Throw in the loss at Clemson, a unranked team as well.
It's not just chance, it's a pattern with this team. They led in the 2nd half of each of those games, but when it came down to the last three minutes, the shots wouldn't fall or the whistles wouldn't stop. In this Miami game, they missed four wide open 3's down the stretch and two layups. Nanu was called for a BS foul going after a loose ball. It was the same thing we've seen all season. Only road games against weak teams like Virginia Tech, Pitt and Georgia Tech have the Cards been able to win at the end.
All fans are frustrated because of the ban. More so because you don't play road games in the NCAA tournament. However, I could see the Cards losing if they could play just like they've done today. Be winning the entire 2nd half only to miss their last 10 shots and lose at the end. This team is young and most all should be back. I think next season we will see the usual road warriors were used to.
