I had the misfortune of taking a sick day yesterday and slept to about 3:00; misfortune that is until I was able to watch the UEFA Champions League semis between Barcelona and Bayern Munich. You don't get to see real greatness very much in your life, but for those that love the drama of soccer Messi's three minute stretch of dominance coupled with Martin Tyler's call (who is the best in the business) of it in front of 100,000 delirious Barcelonans was one for the ages. I am too young to have ever seen Pele' in his prime and can only compare against knowing that Jordan or Tiger Woods were historically peerless for an extended period, but what Messi did in that flurry against the best goalkeeper in the World was Secretariat in the Belmont kind of stuff.
That 2nd goal in the 80th minute had me running back over and over on DVR to goosebumps.
