LOUISVILLE VS SMU GAME THREAD

Cardinals tame the Mustangs by double digits. 38-28

Go Cards!

On Gameday just now 'Kirk the Jerk' was the only one on the panel to pick CMU to win.

Prove him wrong CArds.

I watched the celebration SMU had in their Locker room after they beat FSU. They were hooting and hollering and their coach was right in the middle of it. Then the coach shouted “ Now It Is On To Louisville” and the cheering got louder. Go Cards make their celebrations in the ACC brief.

SMU off to a fast start scoring making it look easy. I hope we make adjustments before halftime. I also hope they spot the ball for us the same way they spotted for SMU.

Totally out schemed on that first possession. Ron English better get those adjustments fast or it could get embarrassing. Cards looked like they were in quicksand. A full step slow to the ball.

There just needs to be some accountability with the officiating against Louisville. It just doesn't stop. It makes no sense how we're so unfortunate with the refs. It's to the point I look for a flag after every big play we have.

SMU can do no wrong on offense so far. Receiver inches in bound and juggling the ball. Good catch, but very fortunate.

I underestimated SMU if our defensive backs don’t do better it could be a very disappointing afternoon. Last week we made good defensive adjustments in the 2nd half I don’t think we can wait that long today.

Tyler ended up on his back on the throwaway. If they’re quarterback ended up on his back, it would be rough in the passer

We need to have our defense practice tackling drills. It looks like the SMU players sprayed PAM on their uniforms.

Defense is now chasing the ball with some gusto. SMU is still getting it done making great plays to get the first down. They finally made a mistake with the bobbled trick play, but the Cards have to stop this 3rd down or even let SMU get close because they will surely go for it.

I just don’t understand how the ref could throw a flag and then pick it up. What did he think he saw. It might be he threw a flag and talked to the Head ref and the Head ref said oh no that’s not a penalty. If that is the case he doesn’t need to be out there.

Lost our opportunity to take momentum let’s hope the defense can hold them again. When both teams have losses on their drives they don’t recover from it.

It may not actually have been a flag but a yellow piece of equipment or cloth and the ESPN graphics department jumped the gun? I've seen this multiple times this season watching college football.

Don't know but there wasn't any announcement by the official and it was just TV that said there was a flag.

Jesus Christ he ran for a TD and nobody was even close to touching him. However on the replay #51 was holding gave him the open lane.

the reality is the next drive is for the season, fail this and don't see us recovering

I saw that block and that usually doesn't get called. If it did, there would be flags all the time. I do agree however is if that was Louisville and it was at a big point in the game, the likelihood of a flag would be greater.
