BREAKING: Louisville Dodges Major Penalties

In fairness he was using the NCAA guidelines on punishment to support his position. That completely changed with the IARP. His last article is stupid because he is failing to understand the IARP is a independent group not the NCAA. He is doubling down. He better than that but it happens to all of them.

This process showed the ridiculous nature of the NCAA enforcement. They basically build a case only using information for the outcome they want. It works both ways if they want to burn a school good luck. If they want to protect a school they will do that. The IARP said hell no we are using all the information and we make a decision of that which is the way it should be.

I think Bill Self gets a show cause because the he actually is on tape with Adidas representatives talking about players.

Didn't we essentially get the death penalty or at least equal to a postseason ban?
It sure feels like we did. Five years of recruits telling us “no”. The loss of a great coach and AD. Financial and reputational damage to the team, school and community. And then for the IARP to basically say that there was no serious wrongdoing!! It’s like we were sent to prison for five years, lost everything, then we’re told that we were cleared by DNA evidence. Glad to be out of jail, but great damage has been done. No reparations offered.

I know it felt like dark times, and it was, but the Cards did reach #1 during the 19/20 season, so it wasn't all doom and gloom.

Exactly. Before/After.

True. It's so easy to only remember the bad times in recent years because there was so much of it. I'm guilty of that too. But there were some sporadic high points occasionally mixed in, although they were all too fleeting.

Just hope we can get back to the top of the mountain someday soon.

Exactly this. To all from other fanbases that keep saying UofL got off lightly on the presumption that the Cards committed major violations which, according to the IARP, isn't true.
