Yesterday’s games had most of the talking heads moaning and groaning about how transfers totally changed these games, and that changes “had” to come. They were discussing one (1) springtime, after season, transfer period.
TV charges LOT of money for advertising in these games, and if viewership falls due to lousy, boring games? Well….
Money always wins, and TV has the money. Sure they have the whole regular season, but They will not give up 4-6 weeks of post season advertising for players benefit. They care less about the players than these “greedy” schools some speak of.
Somebody/thing has to get some kind of control over this, and the deepest pockets always win.
Time will tell. JMHO
PS:
The worst part of it so far to me?
As bad as the ACC is perceived now, these games are proving, so far, that our (acc) 2nd, 3rd, and 4th stringers aren’t as good as the other conferences.
