Veteran Vanderbilt blocker Ean Pfeifer knows where he'll be playing next season.

"I'll be coming to Louisville," Pfefer confirmed Sunday afternoon.

Pfeifer told CardinalSports.com he'll play his final season at Louisville. He decided after a weekend visit with the Cardinals.

At Vandy, the 6-foot-4, 300-pound lineman was a 2016 SEC All-Freshman selection by Athlon Sports.

Now? He's still 6-4, but at 245 pounds he'll play the Y Tight End spot in Scott Satterfield's offense. The Bentonville, Ark., native played in more than 20 games in 2016 and 2017 seasons before sitting out the 2018 season.

Got four red seats this morning.

First half had a bunch of bogus offensive foul calls and Mack was livid with the refs. Right before they go into the locker room, Mack has a quick conversation with the white-haired ref and early on in the second half those calls start to turn into blocking fouls and no-calls.

I think Mack has a good rapport with officials and can persuade them to see when people are flopping, fouling behind the scenes, etc. Very glad to have a coach that people like. It can help change the flow of a game with the right words and timing to a referee. DP was good with this as well I thought last year.

When watching the end of the game after the under 5:00 minute mark it hit me that on the floor in clutch time were four transfers--Stephen Enoch, Kwan Fore, Christen Cunningham and Dwayne Sutton--and Jordan Nwora. Those four transfers came from non-Power 5 programs with the realization that UConn is no longer a Big East member.

I usually dismiss Coach of the Year talk, but in the ACC to win with that as your nucleus? I'm sort of buying into it. We have the same in league record as a team that has no less than the top two picks in the next draft and another Top Ten pick with that. UVa has two Player of the Year candidates...and we have four non-Power Five transfers. Geez.

The UL coaching staff has been dropping hints all over social media that they’ve received commitments. I’ll update what I’m hearing here as I hear it.

The first thing I’ve heard, per one of my sources in Mississippi is that Zach Edwards has committed to Louisville.

That gives them 1 conference loss. Only need them to stumble one more time, to give us an undisputed ACC championship. This didn't look likely a week ago. But now it's possible.

is on the increase. Today’s attendance was just 71 short of 17,000. This is good and, I believe, shows an increased confidence by the fan base in this team AND COACH.

Today Louisville football really turned the corner as far as recruiting momentum goes. For the past few weeks it was something that I could sense on the recruiting trail and today that really started to materialize with the commitments of Joshua Black, Jackson Gregory, and Monty Montgomery.

While they weren't the highest rated prospects on recruiting sites, these 3 prospects I believe are good fits for what Coach Satterfield wants (I'll break down each of them on a later post). In the meantime I wanted to just put everything I'm hearing on other prospects in one post for easy access.

- While no news has emerged yet, I'm still keeping a close on on Zach Edwards and Jamel Starks. For those of you that want to keep track of my predictions, they can be found here: https://n.rivals.com/content/forecaster_profiles/2904063. It is important to note that this feature is fairly new for Rivals and with that come kinks they have yet to work out. One kink of note is that I can't remove a prediction or change it to an "unsure" and that is why I still have a Brandon Jordan prediction in for Louisville.

- Right behind Edwards and Starks I would put Marvae Myers-Glover on the watch list. It sounds like he may be close to committing as well.
UPDATE (1/28): I have placed a forecast for Myers-Glover to Louisville. He has been moved into level 1 commitment watch (I just made this up).

- Keeyon Stewart is scheduled to visit Texas Tech next weekend and appears to be down between Tech, Louisville, TCU, and Utah. At this point I feel like Stewart will end up at TCU or Utah but I think there still is a chance here.

- Ja'Darien Boykin, I'm told, will likely wait until NSD to officially announce. The good news is that I was also told that Louisville feels they will land him at that time.

- I'd venture to say that Jamel Starks would be the guy Louisville wants at safety and if that is the case, deductive reasoning tells me Cecil Powell may end up elsewhere.

- Jamious Griffin and Tyler Devera, two VERY important prospects for various reasons, are both in the wait and see boat. It sounds like both really liked their visits but at this point they will be visiting other places next weekend. That isn't the end of the world for Louisville, but it isn't ideal either. Definitely something to watch and will be storylines next weekend.into NSD.

- Terray Jones really enjoyed his OV but came away without an offer. He said that Louisville was going to let him know next weekend if they were going to have a spot or not for him. If they do, I'd expect he would commit to Louisville.

- At this point the only two I have not heard from are Dequanteous Watts (seemingly a South Carolina lean) and Mason Trotter. I will keep you updated when I hear anything from them.

Is it me, or is the flopping getting out of control across the board. I'm starting to think teams are covertly hiring soccer coaches to teach players to flop more dramatically. Don't the officials realize they are being manipulated? I think McGowens should be considered for an Academy Award for best supporting actor after his performance out there today. It did appear as the game went along that the refs started to wise up a bit to his act.

Ean Pfeifer, a grad transfer from Vandy, officially visited Louisville this weekend. Can play on the line or at TE. Would be a nice pick up. Don’t have any further details other than he enjoyed the visit.

Most of the attention is on Louisville vs. NC State right now, but as you know recruiting never sleeps so I wanted to drop on by a few goodies for you all.

- This weekend is a very important one with official visits beginning tonight and going through Sunday. Louisville will have a number of players on campus that certainly have the possibility of being commits before it's all said and done.

- Jackson Gregory was visited today by Dwayne Ledford and is now on his official visit. While he doesn't officially hold an offer from Louisville, Coach Ledford told him they really like him as a center prospect and Gregory is expected to meet with Coach Satterfield this weekend at which point an offer may come. So what if it does? Well, if that happens I'd expect Gregory to announce his commitment to Louisville shortly thereafter.

- Zach Edwards was a late offer at linebacker that a source told me would be a definite take for Louisville. Edwards is visiting this weekend and that same source indicated that Louisville feels like they are in excellent shape with the 3-star linebacker. Keep an eye on this one.

- Speaking of offensive lineman, I'm watching Joshua Black to see if Louisville can flip his commitment from Georgia Tech, something I think is very possible.

- Ja'Darien Boykin appears to be Louisville's to lose. I have my prediction in for the Cardinals for Boykin and it wouldn't surprise me if he joined the commitment list as well this weekend.

- Tyler Devera appears to be Louisville's top target at the tight end position and will take a very important official visit to the Cardinals this weekend. As of right now I have my prediction in for Louisville but a late Maryland offer, and an official visit scheduled next weekend, makes me somewhat wary. Devera said that a decision isn't likely to come following his Louisville official visit and that he would like to visit Maryland next weekend before making one.

- I mentioned in another thread regarding TJ Holl that there is some uncertainty on how the linebacker position will shake out. For the 2019 recruiting class, that position has been one of the top priorities and now it is all about figuring out numbers. I was speaking with someone close to the program who told me that the staff really likes Washington LB Drew Fowler a LOT. In fact, I think he may be #1 on their recruiting board. So what chance does Louisville has in his recruitment? Well, the bad news is that Fowler told me his top 3 schools are Washington, Stanford, and Louisville. Also, he seemed to hint that he would like to stay on the west coast. The good news? Fowler said he has the best relationship with Cort Dennison out of all other coaches he talks to. Oh, and as of right now Stanford and Washington only have offered him as a preferred walk-on. Bottom line, I think Louisville is in good position to land Fowler and that would be a huge addition to the class. Check out his film here.
