How is BPI calculated?

  • BPI is calculated by subtracting the team's defense rating (BPI Defense) from its offense rating (BPI Offense)
  • The difference between the team's rating and the average rating is used to determine the team's BPI
What does BPI include?

    • BPI includes factors like:
        • Winning percentage
        • Strength of schedule
        • Margin of victory
        • Diminishing returns to blowouts

Seems like I saw somewhere that last years schedule played into the BPI ? If so, I could see why someone thought we had work to do. 😆

Ive said this about a dozen times, most are probably tired of hearing it.. As long as we keep winning we're firmly in the top 25. No team ranked in the top 25 has ever been left out of the tournament (to my knowledge anyway) so losses we keep winning they can't even screw us out of the tournament if they wanted to. They may give a shty draw but we'll be in there !!

Louisville vs Virginia

I am old enough to never bad mouth a road conference win but that was very stinky.

1) 2-15 FG in the 4thQ. All season at critical times or against the better teams, we have gone cold.
2) UVA scored 52 points in the paint. I have rarely seen a team give up so many straight line driving layups and never seen a UL women's team do it.

We are 6-3 in the ACC, but I'm not kidding myself.

Gotta say…i’m PO’d right now. UVA is not shooting well from outside - at all! Go ZONE!! He used some zone in the first half. Our defense has lost intensity and I am seeing tired legs. Substituting in the second half is not what we saw in the first half. I hope they can pull this off but we are seeing the same (hate to say it) choking when this squad gets a reasonable lead.

All we can do is win…then in March let the “experts” explain how we got there under their “all-knowing” radar.

We need to win. We don’t need awards and rankings.

We’ve been off the radar for so long we’re not in anybody’s first thought. Or their second and maybe third.

Keep winning and we can’t be ignored forever.

Good 1st half Cards up by 15 Curry ends the half with 5 3 pointers. We look good as a team running in transition. Virginia is playing a zone and they haven’t come out of it luckily we are hitting out side shots. We are also out rebounding Virginia. I don’t want to get to confident because we had a 13 point lead earlier in the 1st half and Virginia cut it down to 6 real quick.
