What Are Your Post Season Expectations/Predictions?

Cards will likely win the first game in the ACCT. 60% shot. Second game is going to be just about which team hits 3's and rebounds. No matter which opponent it is. I'll go with 50% win chance on 2nd game. If the Cards win the first two ACCT games, they will be assured of an NCAAT 6-seed or better. If they win the Championship game, they'll be seeded as a 5. Thats all the committee will give them.

If the Cards lose the Thursday night ACCT game, they'll drop to a 7-seed.

I predict Cards will win first two games by 8 points or less. Whether Reyne Smith plays or not may not make a difference. It's going to be hard for him to return to pre-injury shooting accuracy.

If the Cards win the first two and play Duke in the Final, I don't like our chances. Basically a home court for Duke.

I look for the NCAA committee to really mess with the Cards in the NCAAT matchups. But I strongly feel the Cards can get to the round of 16. This is a very experienced team. Playing well and playing as a unit.

After that I don't think the Cards will be embarrassed. Whatever games they play will be close. They have finished out the games after the 8-minute media break about as well as you can in these last 3 weeks or so. Gritty team.

I think their ceiling is about the final 8. But no matter what, they've given me and our family and friends and all the fans so much to be happy about this year. They rank right up there for me with the 2013 championship team.
If Louisville runs the table, winning the ACC tournament, and ends up with anything less than a 4 seed it would be robbery. They would have beaten Clemson (10th) and Duke (1st) and won like 22 out of their last 23 games. I understand the NET, but I would think beating those teams get us to around 15.

Recruiting

We have the 6 ft 5 player from Danville Christian coming in next year. Assistant coach told me
she is really talented and would probably start as a Freshman. Her stats are very good. She has
her team in the state tournament. She didn't get much national publicity because she attends
a small private school. Talked to person who saw her in LIT and said she was impressive.
She is not a banger but but rebounds well, handles ball well, and can score in multiple ways
I am told.

I believe the Cards will beat Stanford again and then beat Clemson again before losing to Duke.

In the Big Dance, I think a sweet 16 berth is likely, but it really does depend on who's in the Cards bracket. Of course all of this depends on the injury status of Smith and others.

The teams I don't want Louisville to see include St. Johns, Houston, Tennessee and Texas Tech. Also teams like BYU, Illinois, and Vandy are teams I would rather not see.

This team kind of reminds me of the 2005 team … lots of versatility but no true post presence. Like that team, we rely heavily on the 3pt shot. If we get hot at tournament time, we will be very tough to beat.

I’m going to have this team mirroring that one in the postseason. Give me an ACCT title and a spot in the NCAA Final 4. In Chucky I Trust!
Now THAT'S positive!:)

Ending Regular Season At #13

It's still ridiculous how much Louisville is being undervalued despite losing just one game in the calender year 2025. Even the guys on the radio at 93.9 The Ville are saying Louisville could get a #4 or 5 seed if they beat Clemson and Duke.

The Cards should be a #4 seed today! It's peculiar how the woeful ACC doesn't seem to hurt Duke or Clemson's projected seed. If the Cards win the ACC tournament, they should at least be a #3 seed.

Everything about this Louisville season has been one big mystery. Not only the 25 wins but the dominance in the majority of those wins. The wins despite two major players out for the season and injuries to key players missing multiple games.

The reluctance of voters to rank Louisville until they had no choice and now the talk of the Cards being a 6 or even a 7 seed in the big dance.

Who thinks that individual honors will also go against Louisville. Will Kelsey win national COY or the ACC COY? Will Hepburn be a ACC first teamer? Remember, Chucky isn't on the list of best PG for the Bob Cousey award.

It's been one mysterious season and if Louisville can at least get to the elite 8, it will be the most unlikely season in team history.
