BATTLE 4 ATLANTIS TITLE GAME- LOUISVILLE VS OKLAHOMA- 5:30PM ESPN

Ironically, it’s the poor 3 point shooting, poor FT shooting and unnecessary TOs that should tell us this team can be competitive when it is not executing very well.

It’s true that Reyne missed those 3 consecutive 3s, but those offensive rebounds at that critical point in the game tells me this team has resiliency that was completely missing during the “Payne-full era”.
I gotcha but I have so much confidence in Reyne that every shot he puts up is going to go in and when 3 straight didn't, it was a bad omen.

Ravens have same problem as UoL

honestly, they screwed last year up by trying to bring back mark andrews to quick and forced him into the lineup and tried to give him the ball instead of likely. same thing happening this year, getting the ball to andrews is actually tightening up the offense. but the reality is two things, lamar keeps choking under pressure in that he constantly fumbles or drops the shotgun snap. i'm his biggest fan and no way he'll ever win a SB becasue he brain farts in pressure situations. oyu can go all the back to last uk game when he fumbles at the 5. yesterday, up 9-0, he had a wide open receiver w/ no one within 10 yards and would have been a td and he blew that easy throw then he fumbles the next snap and they're in 3-19. they don;t make it and philly scores two str4aight td's. they should have been up 16-0 but lamar choked. and in every big game he has a fumble he just gets some back. it's like watching Farve, he was great but you always knew he was going to screw up. lamar is always going to fumble or make a dumb play.

and lastly, they will never win with tucker as their kicker. he's lost it. like vanderjact of the old colts who could hit everything then he missed on vs pittsburg and he never was good again. if you look at all the ravens loses, i believe tucker has cost them 4 games because he failed to do his job at even a 75% rate. he cost them 7 points last night. that's the ball game. btu until lamar learns to concentrate 100% of the game, there's always the high chance he's going to brain fart and turn the ball over. and being a huge fan, it's gut wrenching to constantly see. he's so great in e very other area and could be the greatest qb in history, but will prolly end up like marino, the best who never won. i truly hope not, but until he adapts, he's got that huge fumbling/brain fart problem

2025 Schedule

There is nothing easy about winning. The schedule lines up to make a run. VA Tech SMU and Pitt talent wise don’t really scare me today. I doubt they will be ranked heading into the season. We will see what they do or how they are hit in the portal.
SMU probably has the deepest pockets of all ACC teams NIL wise. I think they will be the team to beat instead of Clemson and FSU in the future.

I would be careful on duel threat QB’s. What you want is someone that can operate in a congested space and still make throws. Tyler was great in the pocket. My only issue with him is he refused to run with conviction. When he did he extended drives but he did it 2-3 times all year. Did it Saturday and it extended a drive. The Clemson game. Can’t blame him with his injury history.

Folks Lamar is a unicorn. The guy moves at a speed tied with his vision he never took a big shot. These other guys take big hits and get dinged up. Milroy is a good example he got dinged up and it impacted his play. Then you need a backup that plays the same way.

The Virginia kid is actually a good example of that type when the play isn’t there he can be a problem. Assuming Brown and Watson stay you don’t need a duel threat you need a mobile QB that can operate in the pocket or occasionally QB read play.

I think Louisville has a couple on the roster that can do that but not sure they are good enough in the passing game.

Volleyball gets #1 seed

When you examined the SOS, and the number of wins against top 12 teams, combined with 2 of the 5 losses were to #1 overall seed PITT ……. Katie George explained it perfectly …… the Committee compared the performance described above against all of the other candidates and it was evident that UL was the most deserving of the 4th #1 seed. In truth, it was not even close when matched against Creighton or Stanford.

The Ravens have the number 1 offense in the freaking NFL. The Eagles have a terrific defense. Good defenses more times than not slow down good offenses. The Eagles shut down the Bengals too and they score on everyone.

I disagree with your opinion. Offenses need to be efficient but none are perfect. Playing calling from a coaches perspective is every play will be successful. The idea that when a play doesn’t work it is always a bad call is crazy. No, the defense made a play. Or in some cases the defense is just better.

Andy Reed maybe the best player caller ever but he has a QB that executes at a ridiculous level. Even then they don’t control every game.

Every play call that is blown up a player missed an assignment or missed a throw. Good example Shough misses Brown on a simple wheel route in 1st half. Perfect play didn’t execute. Shough makes a perfect throw to Bruce that is a TD Bruce drops the ball. Perfect play call. That is 14 points in the 1st half that where play calling was perfect but resulted in 3 points. A play I didn’t like was the reverse to Bell. They blew up but it was basically the same play Texas ran a couple weeks ago for a TD. Good concept bad execution. Good play by their defense.

The Payne-less era begins

I know things are much different now than they were in 1980, but I remember how so many UL fans felt like our season was over before it started, when Scooter was lost early with the season ending injury. No one, and I mean no one expected that 6’7” freshman Rodney McCray could step in for his older brother and play the 5 & 4 towards a NC.

Stranger things have happened.

Clemson loses and makes ACC title game

Interestingly, the SEC may be a victim of its own successful expansion, as Texas has a chance to even its score with UGA in the Conference Championship, and displace their “rightful place” in quest for NC. Oklahoma’s upset over Alabama was not only unexpected, but totally unwelcomed.

Oregon appears to be doing the same thing inside the BIG; beating PSU this Saturday would send a message to Michigan and OSU that perhaps expansion did not turn out like everyone expected.

SMU did the same thing in the ACC; totally expect them to remove Clemson from its perch. SMU may surprise a lot of folks before this post season is done.

Jeff got an “eye-full” of dual threat QBs this year; Miami, SMU, BC and GT were some of the more effective. It is true that Brohm has a long history of success with pocket QB, but the same was said of Petrino before Lamar arrived.

I expect that Jeff will be open to any transfer candidate that fits the dual threat qualification, as long as they are able to meet his passing expectations.
