Any other year I'd have unrealistic dreams in my head (imagine that for a UK fan) but the conference is really SUPER tough. I'm hoping thos crew still has a big upside as a team, but ya never know.
Pope has certainly been a blessing for us older guys that were worn out with being a G league team.
To be honest, Pope might never hang a banner, but him saying (and believing) things about it's about the name of the school not the individual really endears him.
Just from what I've read and seen in the rivalry game I think you guys have the same kinda man at the helm....only shorter.
With the RBs he's putting in the NFL, we don't need a mobile QB. IMO, Shough was better than expected...I think this may be a bit of a downgrade. Speaks more of the shoes this kid needs to fill than anything else. Hoping we get more consistent TE production; but the deficiency in this team is on D. I feel our O will be clicking pretty nicely...again.
We scored 35, 45, 24, and 27 on our 4 losses. Shough helped to put us in a position to have a really good year, we just had some lapses on D and playcalling.
