It’s funny what country bumpkins think about Louisville. I was listening to Paul Finebaum on the SEC radio once when I was traveling. A caller called in talking about sUcK and their fan base. Finebaum asked him if he went into a restaurant and half of the customers were sUcK fans and the other half were Louisville fans would you be able to tell them apart even if they weren’t wearing any gear supporting their teams. The caller said yes the Louisville fans would have shoes and socks on and they would be eating with a knife and fork.
Finebaum laughed and said that is what he had experienced as well. It is always funny to me when I meet sUcK fans they say they wouldn’t go to Louisville if they were paid to go. The main reason they say that is because they say there are to many black people there. I remind them that they have black athletes on their teams.
Hot take, but I don’t see a 74 year old Rick coming in to the YUM! Center and risk being booed. If they are pushing to play at Madison Square Garden first, I believe it’s because Rick may retire after next season.
