It is no coincidence that Rick and St John’s want the first game to be played in MSG, their home venue. Ask yourself the question, “who do you think initiated this series”? Then ask yourself, “what was the motivation”? As I suggested in a previous response, it’s not about the game itself, it’s about how those outside of UL exercise influence for their own purposes. How many other ACC or SEC schools are willing to schedule St John’s in MSG?
If you wonder why UL MBB gets picked as an 8 seed, or why UL WBB team is strategically seeded in a way that if surviving a match against Nebraska, it will face HVL on TCU’s home court in Ft Worth; its because those inside of this University allows itself to be manipulated by those outside of UL, as we are recognized as a willing participant whenever it becomes expedient for others.
Last question, ask yourself if it’s any coincidence that two (2) of the strongest pro-UL leaders were both forced to resign by members of a BOT, and in each individual instance, it occurred as a result of influence from those outside of the University?
Dr James Ramsey and Tom Jurich were both men who were unapologetic in their defense of this University; in one case a local newspaper (CJ) used its political influence to force Ramsey out, and in the other, it was an unprecedented and flawed FBI Report used against Tom. However, In both instances it was UL Leadership that “pulled the trigger”.
One thing that is not a coincidence, this University has experienced 6 Presidents in just 9 years; 3 of which were either “acting”, or “interim”. The most recent change is under a cloud of darkness.
