Buffalo is a tough place to play in January and the Bills have plenty of experience in those conditions. That said, Ravens could not help tripping over themselves with turnovers and dropped passes. At the end of the day, it's the QB that pick the options on each play. I thought LJ played tense and made some poor decisions down the stretch. I was surprised they went away from Henry on the last drive. The drive before that they ran it for 70+ yards and got to the end zone. When they were at 2 yd line with 1st down, they had 2 negative yardage plays and settled for FG. Back to back QB sneak would have gotten them those 2 yards. It's easy to play coach in hindsight but Ravens left a few pts on the field and shot themselves in the foot for another playoff loss.

Vivid:
I understand your perspective and respect your opinion. I knew Bill during his time at UL, back when he and his brother both played for Peck Hickman, and later when he was an assistant coach to Dromo and Crum, prior to serving as AD. I recall Bill reporting to those of us who were donating to UL basketball about IPTAY at Clemson. The acronym stood for "I pay thirty a year", as in $30,000.00 a year for just the privilege of being able to obtain access to season tickets. It was unprecedented at that time, but was quickly adopted by virtually every Major D1 college/university interested in competing in intercollegiate sports.

If you knew Bill at all, you would know that he was a huge supporter of both the students and the fans, but he also had a solemn responsibility to the University once he became AD; a time when there were not a lot of qualified candidates willing to assume that role.

The location and the weather yesterday reminded me of the SMU loss at PSU; the combination of temperature, moisture and wind played a significant impact in both contests, yet I understand how these two (2) events followed the historical precedents, no blame intended whatsoever.

With that said, I would like to have seen the Ravens and Bills have played that contest inside covered stadium where the weather could not effect one opponent more than another.

Congratulations to the Bills, they deserve the win. Thank you Lamar, for the enjoyment that you delivered to me and so many of your fans.

It's a grind. This is where losing Johnson really hurts the team.
Would Chucky be the Chucky we know if he didn't get the minutes and opportunity he has now? That is one of the reasons he left Wisconsin because of the opportunity to be the PG. I fully understand what your are saying but since Johnson is not an option, we have to find someone (I guess its Edwards) to be that person if Chucky gets hurt or gets in foul trouble. We can only look within.

"Dirt Bowl" uniforms:

Thanks BooneCo_Card. The guys doing the broadcast didn't really get into that. The morning CJ failed to do so also. Anyway Ron King Louisville Central comes to mind although I have forgotten why he chose to play at FSU.
You must have missed it during the game but the announcers did mention the uniforms during the game. They had a whole segment about them and they told the story of how Peyton got the team together this past year and told them the history of the dirt bowl. Also Edward’s in the post game mentioned them as well.

Man, Lamar once again just can't get a break in these playoff games. The INT didn't hurt because Buffalo punted, but his fumble after the bad snap is just typical of the shit that seems to happen in the playoffs.
The INT did hurt because it takes away an opportunity to come back down and score and put more pressure on Buffalo.

Cards Officially 2nd Highest ACC NET Team

It's remarkable how the women are matching the men with 7 wins in a row. They even both played Syracuse for the 7th win.

However, the men are doing it with a ton of experience and a new coach, while the women are doing it with largely inexperienced players with a long standing coach.

Both are in 2nd place in the ACC and neither have had much fanfare from the media. However it's starting to go that way as Cards fans wonder which will lose first?

I was screaming the whole game about Ravens ball carriers with one hand on the ball…and it got Andrews on his fumble.

I am just not a big fan of using terms like breaks or luck, because it usually takes away from what I think it takes away from the realities of coaching, scouting and execution. It is age old in football in playoff games, but turnovers are what get you beat and that was there in technicolor last night. Lamar turns it over in the Playoffs. I think more than anything the loss of Zay Flowers had a huge impact.

Louisville vs Va Tech

I do not see this as psychological, or lack of effort, as there were half court defensive sets where I thought we displayed 100% effort; just not enough execution. As far as Olivia, Nyla (early foul trouble) and Merissah were concerned, they each contributed sufficiently. That aforementioned group of Roberts, Williams, Randolph and Berry shooting 1 for 12 in the first half is hard to overcome.

That fourth quarter energy reduced the VT lead of 13, down to 2 had the review not taken Roberts’ 3 to a 2. In truth, that was a rather remarkable comeback.

Lastly, the officials did not cost UL the loss, but I thought VT enjoyed the benefit of a lot of questionable calls throughout the game.

Louisville vs Va Tech

I don’t think Waltz is adjusting to the NIL-Transfer environment. Brought in one transfer and bunch of freshman. Don’t get it. Freshman are rarely ready unless they are elite. Roberts is really good but the rest aren’t ready. What was the plan?

They really don’t run a good offense. Zero player movement. They aren’t fun to watch.
Disagree. He has hit the portal a lot the last few years. Last year - it did not work out well at all. A couple of other times he was successful.
