If Louisville is within a TD with 5 minutes to go in the first half, they will have a very solid chance to win this game. Our starts have not been good and had every opportunity in the world to pull every one of the losses out. Poor execution, some interesting playcalling. and few questionable calls have cost us dearly!

had the $300,000,000 contract receiving cole simply run to first like very pitcher is taught from peewee leagues, they would have gotten out of the inning unscathed, he would have made 15 or so less pitches, would have continued the shutout, would have kept the 5-0 lead, and would have given the yankees absolute momentum going back to LA. Cole choked, plain and simple. the entire inning would have been forgotten had he simply continued to run to 1st base. but he's a diva, started to run then said nah, let the 1st basemen handle it all by himself so he could run to the dugout quicker. cole is the 100% reason they lost and he's going to regret it forever if he has any soul. btw, i was born in NY, grew up a yankee fan but when i learned as a kid the dodgers were from brooklyn, i started rooting for them first. so couldn;t lose in this series, but cole choked, plain and simple. all the other mistakes would have been erased had he simply run to first like he should have.

This is an awful spot. Louisville is coming in after 7 highly competitive and physical games. Clemson coming in off a bye. It is a night game. They are going to have to play really good and Clemson is going to have to play just OK. Never know but really a up hill battle.

I think this is the route Louisville will have to take on high school players. Lower rated players with high upside and low NIL value. I think they have to try to figure out how to recruit high school lineman. May have to pay more for lineman that meet your measurables and fit. Need lineman to come through the system for depth.

we need to play tougher teams in the exhibition. big programs are playing tougher pre season schedules. Indiana played Tennessee. Kansas played Arkansas.

A Charleston-Louisville exhibition game would be good for both schools. Mack against Kelsey.

Comparative statistics and opponent records are worthy considerations for determining spreads, but my point is more specifically about our run game against a Clemson defense that is simply superior to our ground game. Again, just my own opinion, I believe our only way to steal a win in Death Valley is executing a flawless passing exhibition with a balanced distribution between our TEs, our WRs and RBs as a safety valve.

Shough is capable of being the difference in a game like this if he gets the support that he needs.
