A program Turning Point

Said another way, the Clemson game was one data point. I understand as the last one, it's the most important. But the analyst in me wants to see something in the way of a trend.

And if I reflect back just one more week (data point), we were down 20-0 to Boston College. If you think you're legitimately seeing progress, that's a helluva lot of improvement in three quarters of football. Forget about Clemson, I hope someone recorded what Jeff said at halftime of the BC game...

Who foresees a Indiana vs Louisville bowl matchup?

Tonights rankings will be very telling. Also the SEC has a couple of loser leaves town coming up. Loser of Bama and LSU is OUT and Ole Miss and UGA will be very telling. And Next week Tenn/UGA.

I absolutely think Texas will lose another game, as well.

Only schools that I think are a lock right now to make playoffs, IMHO, are Oregon, OSU, ND, Miami, Penn St, and Boise St bc of where they are ranked and the only one I can see losing a game is Miami and I think they can afford 1 loss.

Conference championship games are going to be very interesting in how they rate a loss in a conf 'ship making a team potentially 10-3 over a team that didnt make it sitting there at 10-2. What will happen?!?!
I think BYU is a lock unless they lose two games. They should win their last four games against some disappointing teams like Utah, Oklahoma state and Kansas, but all they have to do is win the Big 12 and they're in.

They have beaten Kansas State so they have the TB on them.

FOOTBALL: CBS Jerry Palm's Assessment

Louisville
The Cardinals were playing their fourth top-25 team in the last six games when they faced Clemson on Saturday and finally came away with a win. Louisville is the highest-rated team on this list without even an outside shot at the CFP, but a big bowl game is still in play. This week: OFF
